I wasn’t sure where to start since I’d never ordered African cuisine before, but the kind lady at the counter was incredibly patient. When I asked for customer favorites, she politely made recommendations and was considerate enough to point out the spicy dishes (I am a ‘mild’ type of Asian ). She quickly put a bowl together for me while checking my preferences on the veggies and sauces.
I don’t recall the exact names of the dishes, but she added chicken, mild rice, some plantains, mixed veggies, pickled onions, corn, and a cucumber & tomato medley. I was feeling extra thirsty, so I also grabbed the Hibiscus Juice and a Mango Lassi.
The first bite of chicken was buttery, creamy, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of saltiness. It was a total party in my mouth. You could tell every part of the dish was made with love—the spices were present but not overpowering.
The drinks were also a delight. The Hibiscus Juice was tangy with what tasted like chai spices, which balanced perfectly with the Mango Lassi. The Lassi was smooth and silky without being too sweet.
I cleaned my plate and even took the drinks home! The space was clean and well-kept. I’m only in town for a couple more days, but I will definitely be back before I leave. What a gem for Easton! Now I have to go home and find African cuisine there, too. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

This one used to be so good every time but the last 3 times I have gone that has not been the case. The regulars are not in there now. I do not know where they went but please bring them back!! The peanut butter soup was sour. I had to spit it out with the fufu I had. I did go back on a different day and they gave me a replacement peanut butter soup but that is the 1st time I have had any real issues with them. The fufu has not been hot either like it usually is. Stuff just isn’t as fresh as it used to be. The Jallof rice is still one of my favs and the egusi soup.

I ordered foo foo for the first time. It was delicious and the kids enjoyed it too. The drinks were freshly made. I had hibiscus tea and it was delicious . My daughter had mango lemonade. I also tried the mango-pineapple-coconut drink. Everything was FRESH!!! CUSTOMER service was great. I will be back to try the other menu items!!!<

I ordered a Spicy peanut chicken wrap, and, let me say, it was the best food I’ve had in a long time. I only tipped a small amount since I’m saving money to a small extent, but I’ll be damned, I should have tipped my entire wallet. I can’t wait to try the entire menu when I come back, and hopefully I’ll bring more friends with me.

I have been wanting to try this and finally got the chance to try it. I was not disappointed. We went just before the lunch rush. I ordered the build you own with Jollef rice, jerk chicken, veggies, and mixed salad, and a mango drink. It was very good! Food was very flavorful! They had lots of different meals to choose from either build your bowl or do a menu item. The people I dined with also were very pleased with their food as well. I will definitely be back!

My #1 favorite restaurant ever, the first bite you will be in love. It’s so flavorful and filling and it tastes so amazing every single time, so underrated. The chicken Afra is tender, moist, and juicy, and the jollof rice will have you dancing

I don’t know if it was due to public opinion but I’m glad they take their customers feedback into consideration
They’ve also revamped their menu selection by adding more protein options such as Roasted Oxtail, Whole Tilapia, and more chicken options and more! They’ve also added more side and sandwich/wraps items like burritos, quesadilla and loaded fries. They are a must try cuisine. Promise you won’t be disappointed ❤️

I absolutely love their food and the serving size is definitely worth the price. I definitely recommend!!! When I go I always get the Salmon w/Plantain, Jollof and Bariis Rice, corn, pinto beans, cucumber veggies and Afra fantastic Spicy Sauce & Afra fantastic Sauce. I am sad, however, that they no longer offer the beans. That really brought the meal together for me. I hope they return the beans soon because I don’t prefer the meal w/out it. That’s just a personal preference and has nothing to do w/the quality of the food, service and/or atmosphere….which are all great! I will return if and when the beans return

This place is so good! I’ve never had African cuisine before. My daughter and her friend were taking a class at sur la table so I decided to explore food ideas while waiting. Sitting in the parking lot, looked up and saw Afra. I was intrigued and it didn’t disappoint. Not a single item on my plate was so, so… the entire plate was absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend. So, so good! The pineapple, mango drink was awesome too.

The staff helped us with suggestions and in general were super friendly. The whole atmosphere of the place is fun, and is super clean. I definitely recommend the spicy chicken over rice! The Bashaal juice was a rich and creamy drink completely unique to me.
Overall, 10/10, I will definitely be back.

My wife and I had been wanting to visit Afra Grill for a while now. Our opportunity finally came when we were hungry and wandering around Easton!
We both opted for the jollof rice – I paired mine with jerk chicken while my wife chose the salmon. Both of us went for the spicy sauce to add an extra kick to our meals. Admittedly, our initial impressions were mixed due to the mediocre service and high prices. The staff didn’t seem particularly attentive, we felt that the customer service could use some improvement. Because of this, our expectations for the food were tempered.
However, once we took our first bites, we were absolutely blown away. The food turned out to be some of the most flavorful we’ve ever had. My jerk chicken was bussing as my nieces and nephew would say. The chicken was bursting with spices and perfectly cooked, while the jollof rice was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. My wife’s salmon was equally impressive – moist, well-seasoned, and delicious. The spicy sauce added just the right amount of heat and enhanced the flavors of both dishes.
We also decided to try the french fries, which were surprisingly good, adding a delightful crunch to our meal. To wash it all down, we had the mango drink, which was refreshingly tasty and a perfect complement to the spicy dishes.
While the prices were on the higher side and the customer service left much to be desired, the incredible food more than made up for these shortcomings. Afra Grill serves excellent, flavorful dishes that are worth every penny. Despite the service and cost, we will definitely be returning to explore more of their menu. If you’re looking for a place with outstanding African cuisine, Afra Grill is a must-visit!
