The food is absolutely delicious and super comforting! The staff is really friendly and welcoming. I’m totally hooked on the samosas, and the dipping sauce is the perfect accompaniment. It’s my absolute favorite!

I recently had the chicken biryani at Joy Indian along Flatbush Ave, and it was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the spices were perfectly balanced. I would definitely recommend this biryani to anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Brooklyn.
The chicken was cooked in a dum style, which means that it was sealed in a pot with the rice and spices and cooked over low heat for a long period of time. This results in a very flavorful and aromatic biryani.
The rice was basmati rice, which is a long-grain rice that is perfect for biryani. It cooked up perfectly fluffy and light. The spices were perfectly balanced. There was a good amount of heat, but it wasn’t too overwhelming. The flavors of the spices were all perfectly complemented each other.
Overall, I would highly recommend the chicken biryani at Joy Indian along Flatbush Ave. It is one of the best biryanis I’ve had in Brooklyn.

Wonderful food and a great value compared to other places I ate at in the Brooklyn area. The place was neat and staff was friendly. Also enjoyed watch people as they walked by. However, the restaurant was empty so I missed the chatter of people talking. Also, the news was on rather than the traditional music that is so common at a restaurant. Definitely will go back if in Brooklyn and I have a hankering for Indian food.

It is all about the food at this local Park Slope Indian restaurant. Simple setting and service. Their delivery and take out orders are insane based on three recent visits i.e. it is probably quicker to dine at the restaurant. Bombay Liver served with “fluffy bread” is a must. Sag Aloo, Masala Dhal, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Shagoti, Mixed meat Biryani and Rogonjosh have all proven to be good and consistent although goat has never been available. 5* affordable food, 2* setting.

This place literally made my day! The food was perfection! Super flavorful with the perfect kick of spice and the stuffed naan is seriously the best bread I’ve ever had. Not only is the food great, but also the prices are so good especially for the quality and size and the workers are angels. This will be my new go to Indian spot 🙂

I love Indian food and I eat it once or twice a week. This restaurant is my far one of the best I’ve had and the service is amazing too.

Fell way short of my expectations. You see, the last time I was here was about 17years ago. Perhaps a different management then!. I ordered Chicken Tiki Masala, (my usual) the tomato sauce appeared to be from a can, not homemade and too sweet!. The poori wasn’t like I’m accustomed to either. It wasn’t whitish in color, big like a blow fish and full of hot air until you poke it with a fork. It came nearly deflated, almost flat, brownish and collapsed without our help shortly after it hit the table!. My son had chicken curry with coconut sauce and my wife had grilled cauliflower. All of which were good to therm!. My i add that we didn’t want tap water and they brought us 3 bottles of Poland Spring water since they didn’t have sparking water. San Peligrino etc. The waiter was nice and cordial but i won’t be going back. I guess I’m stuck on the good ol days of finer dining and the absence this devastating pandemic that may very well have had some bearing on my lack luster dining experience
