Texas law states a Restaurant must CLEARLY state a tip/gratuity surcharge wether on the menu/sign or through their servers on parties over 5+ people
Cuquitas did not do so
The plates weren’t bad, but I’d recommend Salsa verde instead

This is one of the most Mexican traditional restaurant in Dallas.
The recipes are original as you were in Mexico.
The plates are well served and spicy.
The environment and the music are traditional.

The young lady that waited on me was great, didn’t have to look around for her. She was prompt, friendly and on top of everything. The food was another story, I ordered Fajita nachos and they weren’t very good. I won’t be back but the atmosphere and the people were great.

Great food, good prices and good service, we come here when we are craving good chilaquiles or a good queso flameado 🙂 chips and salsa are always fresh same with their yummy handmade tortillas

The food is as always delicious, you can’t get a better place in Dallas that serves authentic, and I mean authentic Mexican food with the flavor and atmosphere as if you are eating in Monterrey.
Mayra (our server) was great always with big smile and offering something special.

Food is amazing here. They start your meal off with the regular chips and salsa but then thenserve up this freshly made corn tortilla and its really good with butter and a pinch of salt and I hate corn tortillas. So yeah check this place out you will love it.

The customer service is good, she was great on attending us. I would say the food was bland. It was nothing special. The fresh tortillas was nothing special. The tortillas will fill you up more than the actual food. Overall, I wouldn’t come back. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the lemonade and horchata.

Our server left our food at the empty table across from us and went to attend a different table while our food sat there getting cold. She didn’t remove any used plates and did not offer a refill the whole time. Chilequille plate was full of grease and chicken on mole was so thick unpleasant to eat and flavor was awful

100% overall experience. Our first time visiting and we were truly impressed. The food was hot in temperature and very flavorful. I love that they welcome you with two homemade corn tortillas accompanied with chips and salsas. Both salsas had good flavor. Not too spicy. The service was great as well. The restaurant was constantly busy as well. Highly recommend.

The best authentic Mexican food I have encountered, EVER. Every dish was incredibly tasty, and savoured every bite. The portions were fantastic. The chorizo queso was unbelievable! Homemade tortillas made before your eyes. Service was friendly and loved their heritage’s attire. Absolutely will be back!
