Sandwich shop. Loved the macaroni salad. When I asked, “What’s popular?” I got a sneer from the unhappy looking old dude who said, dryly, “everything’s good.” That not what I asked chief. Almost walked out. Got the Rob Roy. It was o.k. Nothing I would crow about, but ok. I’d give the macaroni salad a 5 though.

This place is so good!!! We were in need of a quick lunch and found this little hole in the wall. The staff is so friendly, the menu has a nice variety, and they let you customize your order; the sandwiches we got were delicious. Good size portions, you definitely get the most bang for your buck.

We were looking for something quick to eat as we were waiting for our hotel check in, and we happened to find this little hole in the wall deli shop. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! I ordered the Judge and my husband got the Cuzin Vinnie. We both agreed the Judge was our favorite! The staff was very friendly as well.

A sandwich shop has no business being this friendly. These are the nicest people you can imagine. They treat you like you are in their home.
On top of that, the food was great. I wish I had tried more things but I do know that the Southern Gobbler, a delicious take on a turkey club, is amazing. It’s huge and the bread is fantastic. More importantly the bacon is some of the best I’ve ever had on a sandwich.
If I lived near by, I’d gatekeep this place, but I’m from out of state so I’m not afraid to tell everyone they should go.

Walked in during a very busy lunch hour and sat at the small counter overlooking the kitchen. Not a whole lot of seating here. Staff was pleasant and extremely busy filling to go orders. I had a Reuben sandwich and my wife and granddaughter ordered half & half soup and sandwiches. All were very good.

So glad Savannah has this amazing deli! The owner, Anita, is so personable and professional. The deli is welcoming and spotless. I had the southwestern wrap, my spouse had the southern gobbler, both exceeded expectations! Fresh, loaded with amazing meat and so tasty!
We will be back, it was such a treat to get the tasty food for the ride home!

It was my first time there today, and it was great. We ordered a Rueben, the Big Ketch, and the Big Kane. Each sandwich was delicious. The Big Ketch is a tuna sandwich where the bread is warm. But I asked for mayo and deli mustard to be added, and it was divine. My rueben was just like I remember in New York. Finally, the Big Kane is like an Italian mix sandwich.
Most importantly, the staff and / or owners were very kind and helpful . The only food that I can not review are the cookies and brownies because I am stuffed from the rueben I had. However, the manager said that the brownie, “it’s rich.”

I’m a transplant from the Northeast and live right down the block from here. Easily the best sandwiches in Savannah, you’d have to drive up to NYC to get anything comparable. As for the prices, compare it to subway, absolutely worth the extra five bucks.
Edit: I recently went to a subway because it was the only option. At this point Anita is barely more expensive for far higher quality food.

We only had a brief time in Savannah and we spent our afternoon walking around downtown, this place popped up on our map for lunch, and given that we had a reasonably tired tot we weren’t looking to stand in line at some nearby restaurants. We are so glad we found this place. I’m fairly sure we met the owner who was nothing but gracious and very friendly and made us feel right at home.
Sandwiches are more than generous in portion and delicious to boot.
I’d come here again and again whenever I’m in town.
