This place great all around! The Blackened Chicken Alfredo and Roast Beef dinner were recommended by our server and they were both delicious! The salad bar was fresh and a great addition to the meal, for a reasonable price. I loved the mini loaf of bread, which was a great touch! The “ho-made” apple pie with buttered rum sauce was amazing- we would come back just for a piece of this pie!! Our server, Lloyd, was so kind and provided great service! Definitely make the stop here!

We stopped on our way to the airport. At first I was nervous without know much about the place. We did love the HO made pies but Jersey, the daytime waitress was so patient with my 15 year old pain in the butt. She was so quick knowing we were in a rush. The food came out fast, and our plates were cleared. Incredible food and service. We plan to come back the next time we visit. It was so nice to meet you, Jersey and thank you for making us comfortable!

Great place to go for some home-made pie. We went after our day in Bryce Canyon for dinner. Should probably have skipped the main course (kind of a ready meal vibe) and just had the soup and dessert- the pies really are great so I would highly recommend stopping by for them! Friendly crew too.

Spontaneously stopped in for pie and coffee on our way to Bryce Canyon. Looked really cute from the outside. Inside was decorated like a retro diner. Service was friendly and atmosphere was on theme. The chocolate cream pie was a nice size and well presented. The warm apple pie with a scoop of ice cream was small and smooshed. I wanted to love the pies but they were pretty average and the drip coffee was watered down and weak.

We stopped by on our way from Zion National Park to Bryce, and everything we ordered — the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Taco Salad, and homemade apple pie with rum sauce — was absolutely delicious! The only downside was that the bread and chicken that came with the Alfredo were slightly burnt, giving a bit of a bitter taste. Other than that, the service and overall dining experience were great. Thanks to this meal, the rest of our trip will be even more enjoyable!

My wife and I stopped for lunch and pie and were really impressed. Ed was our waiter and he was fantastic!!! You could tell he took pride in his work and cared about providing a good experience to everyone. He recommend a couple things to us and we ended up getting the Road House burger. It was fantastic! After we were done with lunch we asked what 2 pies we should get and he said they were all good but he helped us decided on the Thuderberry pie and the Strawberry Rhubarb pie with ice cream. Both were sloot good. As he came to pick up the bill I paid he opened it and said did you not see the pen that was in there that you signed the bill with? I said i didnt notice it. He handed it to me and laughed as I read it and then he walked away after thanking us for coming in. Leaving me with a souvenir pen that said, This pen was stolen from Ed at Thunderbird restaurant. Overall it was a great stop and good experience. If you are driving through make sure to get some good here and hopefully you will have Ed as your server. If you see this post Ed, thank you for your hospitality.

There’s only a couple of restaurants in a small area so they are a bit understaffed so patience is necessary. Staff is friendly and the food is good, the pies are great. It’s not a quick service place and you will have to sit down and wait for a while until the food arrives (sit and dine). The portion of food is huge.

I brought in a group of Arizona SXS’s last Friday. Lots of Utah riders recommended doing Barracks Trail and hitting up this spot for lunch. Well let me tell you they went above and beyond. Jersey is the absolute best. We had 2 dogs with us. Group of 13 she allowed them to come in and sit with us. They are really good dogs calm and not confrontational. My husband The German is still talking about their Lobster Bisque soup and salad bar. All you can eat. I got French Dip and Friend got Patty Melt we shared sandwiches half and half. OMG that dip au ju how do you guys get it so tasty? We took patty melt to go it was so filling. Then the apple pie with salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. We stayed at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park but if we get the opportunity I’d stay closer here next time. Thanks to my East Coast Neighbor Jersey! Red loves this place.

The burger I had was dry and overcooked so perhaps next time I’ll skip that, but the pies are on another level here!! Super fresh, not overloaded with sugar like many other places, I couldn’t get enough of it. Very friendly and helpful staff, even for take out orders.
Hands down, the best pie stop, period.

Our favorite stop in Utah, hands down! Thunderbird Cafe never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is amazing every single time.
The blackened chicken Alfredo is our go-to — we always add bacon, and it’s absolutely incredible. It was so good that before our vacation was even over, we went back again and made sure to take an extra plate home with us.
If you’re anywhere nearby, this place is a must-stop!
