After a few days in Florence indulging in amazing Tuscan food like steaks, pasta, risotto, olive oil, and cheese, everything was great but I reached that point where I needed something different. We decided to try this Indian restaurant and honestly what a surprise. It completely hit the spot.

The food was pure comfort. We had the lamb biryani which was rich and deeply satisfying along with butter chicken, cheese naan, and garlic naan. Everything was spot on and absolutely delicious.

If you’re Indian, from the subcontinent, or Arab or Middle Eastern, you will not be disappointed at all. They are also happy to adjust the spice levels exactly to your liking.

What made the experience even better was the service. Super welcoming, polite, and genuinely kind even though we arrived just before closing time. A fantastic find and a perfect change of pace in Florence.

The dinner at Crown of India in Florence was an absolute delight from start to finish. The food was bursting with authentic Indian flavors, each dish cooked to perfection and beautifully balanced with spices. The warm, inviting ambiance made the whole experience feel special and very relaxing.

The main courses, including rich lentil curry and creamy paneer in tomato gravy, were full of depth and tasted just like a high‑end restaurant in India.

Each plate arrived looking like it was carefully styled, from the colorful chaat topped with yogurt, chutneys, and fresh onions to the neatly folded papad cones served with sauces.

The dining area felt cozy and elegant, with a calm atmosphere that allowed for relaxed conversation over a slow meal.

Combined with friendly service and a comfortable environment, Crown of India is a place that invites you to stay, savor, and truly enjoy your meal.

If you are looking for good Indian food in Florence you have reached the right place. Although there are a lot of restaurants in the area but this is unique. You can reserve your spot in advance as dinner time can be busy but it is also worth waiting as food tastes really good. Service is up to the mark and atmosphere is also good.

My experience at the crown of india was lovely. The service was wonderful, incredibly attentive. The waitress at one point noticed me leaning my kindle against a glass to read so she gave me a stand to lean it on.
The food was very delicious and came out very quickly. Everything was fantastic, highly recommend

We are a family of four visiting from US:
What a delightful find! Crown of India completely exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a warm, inviting ambiance that instantly makes you feel welcome and relaxed.
We ordered Paneer Masala, Mix Pakora, Dal Tadka, and Aloo Gobi—every single dish was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly spiced. The portions were generous, and the quality was top-notch. As vegetarians, we were thrilled by the impressive variety of vegetarian options available—plenty to choose from without feeling limited.
And I have to give a special shoutout to the Pista Lassi—my first time trying pistachio lassi, and I’m officially obsessed! It was creamy, refreshing, subtly nutty, and the perfect way to cool down after the flavorful curries.

This restaurant is within a 10-minute walk from the Central Station. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The place is well decorated and maintained. Papad with 3 different chutneys is complimentary. We ordered chicken karahi, paratha, naan and a chicken biryani. Raita and onion-lemon-green chilli salad and water also need to be paid for. All dishes were simply delicious. The service was quick and friendly. Our waiter Palwinder Singh kept checking in on us about the food and if we needed anything else, lovely person. Overall, a pleasant dining experience and highly recommend it in Firenze.

Crown of India in Florence offers a welcoming atmosphere with truly outstanding service. The staff were attentive, and the owner was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. While the hospitality stood out, the food itself was a bit mediocre—flavors were mild and lacked the richness expected in authentic Indian cuisine. That said, it’s a decent spot if you’re craving Indian food in Florence and value great service and a warm, inviting experience.

Delish Indian food! Attentive staff, clean with background music playing (not too loud) – great prices!! Around 10 euro per dish more or less . Sorry we were hungry so the phone did not eat first lol

The food was amazing and well priced.
Their service was slightly slow but very attentive.
For an Indian restaurant to be filled with mostly Indians is a great sign of the quality of food.
