My partner and I stopped in for a cozy meal (the calm before the storm) and it was exactly what we needed.
I went with the Shaw Burger, juicy and perfectly cooked, topped with a plump, juicy tomato, melted cheese, crisp lettuce, red onion, and that signature Shaw’s sauce that brings every bite together.
Shaw Burger for my partner; he kept it classic with French fries, hot, crispy, and the perfect side.
I couldn’t resist adding onion rings for myself; golden, crunchy, and absolutely addictive…the kind you keep reaching for long after you swear you’re full.

First time there. My daughter and I were in the area for lunch and she wanted either a crab dip or buffalo chicken dip, so we decided on Shaw’s. They didn’t have crab dip, but the buffalo chicken dip was absolutely delicious! We each had slightly different variations of the Shaw burger, which was also yummy. Wasn’t supper packed, but had a good little lunch crowd. Enjoyed the aesthetics inside and can see how it could be a popping place in the evenings and during their specialty nights. I’d recommend the place to others.

Very nice spot! I attended for a birthday celebration. The food was great, I recommend the breakfast platter and subbing out the pancakes for French toast. The bottomless is on the high end but It’s worth it! They dropped a bottle on our table faster than we could finish the previous ones!

I found the food to be surprisingly good for this being a bar. I was nervous ordering the salmon, but it ended up being terrific. Their cheese bread (garlic sticks on the menu if I recall) is also amazing, as was the burger.
Service was a little rough, but they were having an event upstairs that might have been contributing to the stress. They also have a 4:00 boundary when ordering dinner items some evenings. I’m fine with waiting and totally get the reasoning/need for that cutoff, but it was a little annoying that we couldn’t at least place the order since we were already there; it was about 3:50, so we just kinda sat awkwardly until it was time.

We really enjoyed this place. The salmon was one of the best we ever had. I also had the fried chicken and it was really good. Service was great. Busy place with a wait. I would definitely recommend this place.

Trendy, great food, great service (Stephanie was our server and she is just awesome) but a very loud atmosphere which may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
As someone who is hearing challenged it was hard to hear my date at times but I managed to make it work. It’s loud because the place is popular.

The best chicken and waffles in the world. My husband and I came here during happy hour and got hush puppies. They are unbelievable. Absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend this place to anyone stopping by.

What started out as a simple Google search of “food near me” ended as the best dining experience since the start of my visit here in DC. EVERYTHING from the decor, ambiance, service, and the food was absolutely amazing! The menu is completely filled with dozens of dishes that are sure to please even the pickiest eaters. I had the Cajun jambalaya pasta and I would be hard pressed to think of another time I’ve had better jambalaya. My coworker got the shrimp and grits and he was amazed at the quality ingredients and fantastic flavor. I got a few of their specialty cocktails as well and I thoroughly enjoyed them, so I definitely recommend you check those out as well. Overall, Shaw’s managed to go above and beyond my wildest expectations and I will DEFINITELY be back again.
