An Iconic Establishment within Rancho Penasquitos.
I’ve been coming here for decades.
They always provide delicious food at reasonable prices and served with a smile.
My favorite item is always the carne asada chips. Once in a while, I’ll switch it up with fries.
Their sauces are on point. Just the right amount of flavor and heat, whether it’s green or red.
Though I’ve moved further away from here, I always make it a point to drive here for their delicious eats.
There have been many taco shops that have come and gone over the years, I’m glad that Rodrigo’s has managed to provide the neighborhood with a place to relax and enjoy a well prepared meal.

First one in line, last one to recieve their food. Incredibly slow service. California burrito was the size of a glorified taquito. Anywhere else in the shopping plaza will be better to eat at.

I’ve driven here twice during normal operating hours (11am on a Tuesday and 3pm on a wednesday) and it’s just randomly closed. Ugh!

Honestly my camera is so good it makes this plate 100 times better better than it tastes. Meat is so old hard. Beans taste nasty, worse than canned ones. Dont go here if there is any other option. Save yourself and your money. There is no soap in the bathroom which looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a while.

Call in to make an order. Totally told me different prices then when I got there. Burrito was so oily that it rip the paper it was wrap in. Burrito wasn’t even wrapped properly it made a mess to eat. Plus didn’t have any napkins. Sauce was bad don’t recommend.

Absolutely delicious! The night we showed up, there was one guy taking orders and preparing all of the orders. I don’t know if this is typical or just a short-staffed night, but the food was well worth the wait. We’ve had trouble finding good Mexican food with great flavors since moving to the San Diego area, and we’re beyond pleased with this find. We will definitely be back!
