First time dining at this Jim’s in probably over 30 years. I happen to be in the area around 6:30 am on a Friday morning, and wanted a quick breakfast, that I know has good value.
I entered and was quickly seated, my drink order was taken and I was given a few minutes to look at the menu. My server return and took my order, and submitted it to the kitchen. My order was ready within, I’ll say ten minutes, fifteen minutes of the most, and it tasted that just like the Jim’s that I normally visit at the Broadway location.
It’s nice to know that this tried and true diner still provides good value, for a good meal, and good service. I’m looking forward to returning to this location at some time in the future when I’m in the area again.
I hope that should you decide to visit that your experience is as good or better than mine.

The staff were super quick to greet upon entering and let us have the option to choose our seat. Drink order taken within minutes of seating. Order taken not too long afterwards. Food came out super quick, everything was hot and fresh cooked as ordered. Lobby looks so nice without the carpet most locations have. Lobby was super clean and welcoming. 10/10 best experience at any Jim’s was this one. This team worked so well with each other everything seems to be running smoothly.

My favorite day to go eat here is Saturday mornings. I love when the elders all show up with their classic cars! I also love the service. The employees are knowledgeable and seem genuine. I’ve never felt like any of them didn’t like their job. Thansk and yall keep up the great work!!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I moved here from out of town and I have too say the à la cart menu is really awesome!
The picture is the chicken club sandwich uncut in toasted and has 2 sunny side eggs ontop. It’s so delicious and I have it here all the time never fails to be just as delicious as the last!

UPDATE: Another great lunch at Jim’s on 410. Always great to come into town and have lunch before hitting the town. They have freshened the interior and made it light and bright and remains an institution in San Antonio. Thanks again to Stephanie for another warm and friendly lunch.

OK, so Jim’s is an institution in San Antonio. Everyone knows it and can count on having something for everyone here.
Driving in from Houston, we stopped in mid afternoon to this location prior to arriving at the hotel for a couple of days of leisure in beautiful San Antonio.
Not too busy, we were greeted with friendly staff welcoming us and inviting us to sit anywhere we chose. We were approached by Stephanie after just a few moments. She was warm and friendly and treated us like family. Brought our drinks quickly, was knowledgeable of the menu and as she brought the table in front of ours her order, she quickly let out table know what it was she had ordered. I had already been eyeing that particular selection so at that point I am sold.
What she brought to the table was a literal work of art. If you haven’t considered ordering the Chicken Salad Plate, reconsider. It is absolutely perfect. IT was exactly what I wanted and her presentation was phenomenal. So phenomenal in fact that we ordered it to go a couple of days later as we were headed out of town.
A large serving of their gorgeous chicken salad with celery and pineapples, cold cottage cheese, peach half, pineapple ring, grapes, cantaloupe, strawberries and bananas. Just perfect I tell ya.
Stephanie once again exceeded all expectations with her attention to detail, careful preparation and a genuine love for her job. She is truly an asset to Jim’s and they are fortunate to have her. She is the kind of employee that companies pray for.
I certainly hope the manager at this location takes note of her dedication of doing a great job. We did steakhouses and seafood restaurants for our other dining options but the waitstaff couldn’t match Stephanie’s warmth or gumption to do a great job. I literally can’t wait for my next trip to San Antonio so I can stop in and have her prepare this salad plate for me again. Thank you Jim’s and Stephanie…

Will no longer go to this location. Found a hair on my food (beans) that is was not mine. Took a mental note how they don’t wear hair nets in the kitchen. I let the waiter know before leaving and paying that I found hair on my beans. She didn’t really say or do anything and it felt as if she didn’t really care.

My first time at this location and the layout of the restaurant is spacious. Staff was friendly. Our server was Julie and she was attentive and patient with the 5 year old at the table. We tried the fried mushrooms appitizer and it was delicious. the white cream gravy was recommended by Julie and it was tasty. My husband ordered a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. He said the flavor he tasted was salt. I had the Canadian cheese soup bowl and OH MY GOSH it was fantastic. My husband loved it too. He said the mac and cheese would have tasted better with the cheese used in my soup. Over all, good experience at this location. The hostess also said my duck shoes were cute. I didn’t catch her name but she was extremely nice.

I absolutely love this place drove to the one on Hildebrand closes early then drove to the Blanco location was closed finally made it to this Jim’s it was a little packed but well worth the wait I promise. The manager was in the back helping the cooks knock out all the orders her name is Kim she was short staffed but got us all taken care of. My Hats off to her she’s a great Manager and knows how to run an Establishment. Can never go wrong with a burger the breakfast is amazing but my all time favorite is the fried mushrooms absolutely devine.

Great location, awesome staff, and as always the food is top notch! The chicken tender plate with onion rings or the frontier burger with half fries/onion rings *mix some Chula with ketchup for a kick and definitely get it with a cup of tortilla soup those are my goto anytime I visit!
