Such a gem in the Altadena pasadena neighborhood. The name of this resturant is express, quality is not express at all. Excellent quality, you could taste the ingredient are very fresh! Very reasonable price and portion!
Talking to the people in the resturant I learnt that even though the ownership is new, the owners had 10+ years experience in the industry and decide to open their own. So lucky to have a resturant here that put their heart into it. Yummy!

We started with the crispy egg rolls, which were perfectly deep fried and full of flavor. For the main course, I highly recommend the kung pao chicken it was flavorful and perfectly balanced with a kick of spice. I been going to Egg Roll Express for 25+ years it’s been my favorite comfort meal place. That stopped today , new ownership gave me fried rice that was still white with a lot of peas and carrots and a few meat items mixed in. The chow mein was made from cheap , spaghetti noodles, and not the thick noodles that we’ve become accustomed to It was also white and both dishes had no flavor. This with the price rise and lack of flavor I must officially stop going as the quality is horrid and prices to high . But the inside does look nice if that helps.

Ordered Veggie Chow Mein, Sautéed Green Beans with side of fried rice, Crab Rangoons and Veggie Egg Rolls. Everything was fresh hot and delicious and packaged with care. Enough food for 4 people, we will definitely order again soon.

We were disappointed with our last visit we ordered BBQ Pork Chow Mein and Egg Plant. Would you believe that they used spaghetti for their noodles, but the worst part is it was too salty. I called the next day to complain. Manager didn’t apologize. He said he would be more careful next time. When I placed my order, they asked me for my email to send me a receipt. I checked my email twice that day plus the next day it never came. We live close by so we were too lazy to drive into Alhambra to get real Chinese food. We were having a heat wave here in Pasadena 95 degrees.
