
The Juicy Crab® story starts long before the opening of the Duluth, Georgia, first corporate restaurant in 2015. The Chen family’s inspiration ultimately came from New Orleans and the world travels of Grandfather Chen. Grandfather Chen was a sailor who traveled the world learning many different styles and ways of cooking seafood. One of the main influences that every family member loved was the New Orleans style of cooking seafood. Today, Juicy Crab Franchise has over 40 restaurants throughout the United States and is a market leader in the seafood restaurant service market.

What truly made my visit exceptional was my server, Andrea. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed from start to finish. Her positive attitude and outstanding service really stood out and made my night even more enjoyable. Andrea went above and beyond, and it did not go unnoticed!

What really made my visit stand out, though, was the service. A special shout-out to Destiny—she was incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive from start to finish. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, and her warmth and genuine care truly elevated the whole experience. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and thoughtful, and Destiny made me feel so welcomed.
I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending The Juicy Crab to friends and family. Great food, amazing atmosphere, and service that makes you feel like a valued guest. Thank you, Destiny, for making my visit so special! Delicious!
When we tried speaking to her, she would make faces and often avoided eye contact. At times, it felt like she purposely turned away when we were trying to get her attention. Basic things like refilling drinks or bringing straws were not done unless we repeatedly asked. She seemed to have an attitude throughout the entire visit, even though we were not asking for anything beyond what any normal table would expect.
What was especially disappointing was that she didn’t want to sing happy birthday to the birthday girl, which made the celebration feel awkward and unwelcoming.
The only reason I’m not giving one star is because another staff member stepped in and helped us when it became clear we were being ignored. That person was attentive and professional, and we truly appreciated the assistance.
Overall, I’ve never felt so poorly taken care of in a restaurant. I hope management addresses this, as customer service should never make guests feel uncomfortable or unwelcome.
On top of that, while we were eating, we overheard Brittney and her coworker talking rude about guests and pointing at people. That’s unprofessional and disrespectful. If you don’t like people, don’t work in customer service.
The food itself was okay, but the portions? Trash. I ordered 0.5 lb of shrimps and only got nine. That’s not half a pound, that’s a sample. And it wasn’t just my bag but my friends too.
I’ve been to multiple Juicy Crabs all over Metro Atlanta, and this one is by far the worst. Bad service, weak portions, and a whole lotta attitude. Never again.
Shana helped us pick the perfect seasoning and spice level for our seafood boil, and she checked on us often without ever being overbearing. Our food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor — the shrimp, crab legs, corn, and potatoes were all cooked perfectly.
What really stood out was Shana’s attitude. She had great energy, answered all our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. She made the experience feel personal and genuinely enjoyable.
If you go to The Juicy Crab, ask for Shana — she’ll take care of you! I’ll definitely be returning.
