We had a wonderful dinner at the Flying Fishbone. The fish cakes, seafood pasta with white wine cream sauce and grilles shrimp were all delicious. Rommell was an excellent server who went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday special.
We arrived at 5:30 and didn’t not have a reservation. We were sat promptly at a table with a great view.
We will return when we come back to Aruba.

Food:
The food was great—tasty and flavorful all around. I ordered the grilled shrimp and swapped the sides for fried rice instead of what was listed on the menu, and they were very flexible with substitutions, which I appreciated. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. For 6 people, the bill came out to around $500… and somehow everyone managed to order about two drinks each .
Atmosphere:
Absolutely beautiful and romantic. The setting is scenic, right by the water, and the sound of the calm waves is peaceful and relaxing. This is definitely a dress-up kind of place. We all wore dresses with flats since you’re walking in the sand—they have an area where you can leave your shoes, which is a nice touch.
Service:
This is where it fell a bit short. The service was average to below average. Our server checked on us maybe once or twice, and the first time was only because I asked the bus boy to get her so we could order another round of drinks. Compared to other tables around us, we weren’t checked on very often. I’d rate the service a 3 out of 5 stars. That said, we still left an $80 tip.
Overall:
Great food and an amazing atmosphere—worth it for the experience and setting alone. Just wish the service matched the level of the rest of the restaurant.

Loved this place. Great unique location but requires better taste in ambiance and decor. It has HUGE potential. The food is absolutely delicious. Food to remember. Well presented. Great options. Amazing deserts. The service over all lacked a lot of attention & simple common wait services. Very distracted and forgetful and not on topic the tables. Our waiter was better than the rest of the staff but was not great either. Other than that I highly recommend it.

Very nice place. You must make reservations. If you want to get seated with feet in water, there is only 1 seating at 4pm.
We sat with get in the water and ended up with a table near the edge.
There is a shelf to leave your shoes and also a very nice foot Washing station to clean your feet on the way out.
We started with the oysters New Orleans style. It was really good.
Then came the Roasted Artichoke & Goat Cheese Salad. So good.
I got the Chicken Portobello. It was delicious and it was a huge portion. It can actually be shared with 2 people.
My husband got the seafood pasta. He enjoyed it.
For desert we hot the Baked Alaska which is set on fire at the table. The ice cream and sponge cake part was good. I didn’t love the merengue and sambuca part of it. I thought the merengue would be a little harder but it was soft. The sambuca was a bit strong. But after we mixed it all together, it was fine

Excellent food! Very cool vibe and view!! Some tables even were partially in the water! All 4 of us were happy with our food and highly recommend! The view is awesome, so try to go before the sunsets! We had a reservation at 6:30p in January and the sun was just setting so we almost missed it.

We were booked at 18.00hrs by the water and ordered Calamari for starters and Grilled Shrimp and Salmon for main. Absolutely fantastic.
So was the service by Edouard and Joanne. Couldn’t have been better taken care of.
The ambience is stunning so this is a ”must” visit restaurant in Aruba but book well in advance.

Beautiful. You have to reserve way out to get a water seat. Biluga love me and they didn’t mess with me at all here. Perfect for sunset. Food was delicious. There’s an area to wash your feet before you leave.

My husband & I went for the first time based on all the local recommendations. It is a bit pricey at a minimum of $38-$40/PP for an entree, bar beverages starting at $13/ea. Our total bill was $125 w/tax & tip. We had drinks at the bar since we were a bit early for our 5:30 pm reservations. We sat in the sand area, just short of the water, overlooking the beach. But, at 5:30, it was still quite sunny & warm. We should have requested a reservation 30-45 mins later to ease the sun exposure & heat.
He had the Seafood Pasta & I had the Red Snapper special with vegetables, on a bed of mashed potatoes, with a white wine herb sauce. Pics below.
He was unhappy with the sauce on the pasta, though the seafood was excellent. He said it tasted “canned” & could have used some freshness from a few fresh tomatoes & herbs. My red snapper was fabulous!
The FF is expensive, with entrees starting at $38 ea & bar drinks starting at $13. With 2 drinks and 2 entrees, our total bill w/ tax & tip was $125. We will go back again, but once was enough per visit to Aruba since there is so much to taste on the island!

Feet in the water was so fun! Initially was a little challenging but once we settled in, I loved it. Service was great- water glasses refilled, Ken was very knowledgeable and provided excellent recommendations, drinks were brought out quickly. Overall a great island experience.
