We tried to go to Huddle House but we have a group of 6 so it was too packed. We called down to Joe & Hash who enthusiastically invited us down to eat on their beautiful back patio and since bit was only about 3 min away we took them up on their offer.
We are SO glad we did. It was quiet and beautiful area to relax without the hustle of the indoor restaurant. 1000% happy with the atmosphere.
As you can tell from our pics..we were hungry! Eggs and hash was on the specials menu and was devoured! Many got the biscuits and sausage gravy which all said was very good. The sourdough French toast was a hit and the breakfast burrito and bowl were very delicious. Thr baby tried the blueberry pancake and was covered in blue juice. Our only suggestion is to improve the individual bacon and sausage sides.
Also, they serve specialty coffees of which we had the iced and hot German chocolate cake flavor and an iced caramel macchiato. You should try the GCC! It’s a favorite.
All in all it was a great choice to visit Joe and Hash and we’d come back the next time we’re in the area. ✅️
The food was very reasonably priced and the quality of the food was too.
Burger was fresh and the home fries were something I hadn’t experienced before those alone make it worth going back for.
The desserts all looked stellar too!
Round 2 the next day, a chicken salad croissant that knocked it out the park, it was a tough decision between that and the daily special, egg salad.
The croissant was in bun shape, a first for me but so unique and delicious.
The cafe potato’s (previously I mentioned as home fries) were once again delish.
Also had the pork and white bean soup, first time trying it and now I’ll be looking for a recipe .
I definitely will come back.
We both tried the specials of the day. He had a Cajun Chicken Pasta, I had the Grilled Salmon, and both were delicious. I got a Lemon Lavender cookie and it tasted as good as it sounds. We also each tried a hot signature coffee; he got the German Chocolate, and I ended up getting two Grizzly Bears. The coffee alone is worth a visit.
The service was good, and we weren’t in need of anything for long because Ms. Michelle and Ms. Vonda were so attentive and conversational.
We also learned that Ms. Vonda makes all the desserts in the restaurant from scratch, and they take custom orders.
It was a positive experience for us and we will be back. Hard to beat a place that is full of local color as well as flavor.
