Been a customer here for years, now I will tell you a couple things. I have met the owner, I have met the staff, I have tried a little under half the menu. But for food it is amazing, their service is family oriented and honest, their quality hasn’t changed since I was kid. I have seen it go from an Ira’s to a Wolfy’s to now Josh’s, let me tell ya its better than the surrounding burger places (looking at you culvers). You can’t beat the gyro plate, the friday rib special is top notch, and I am always a fan on the turkey burger ( don’t know why every review dislikes this one but its fine whenever I eat it). So if you’re new give it a try, its a gem alot people don’t know about!

This place is just too expensive. I can go to other places like Max and Bennys and get a chicken sandwich for roughly the same price, but the difference is that other places I also get free bread, and they physically serve me the food. This place is overpriced. The quality of the food does not make up for the higher prices. I would gladly pay more if the food was better, but the hotdogs are just standard and sometimes the skins on them are tough and hard. I stopped going here months ago and so have other coworkers that used to be regulars because the prices are just too high for what you get.
Another time they did not even open up at 11am like their sign claims. Just not as good as it used to be years ago.

Good cheeseburger. Friendly service. Has a nice neighborhood vibe and is an authentic Chicago grill joint. The beef was just OK.

Super friendly staff serving fantastic grub! Had the Italian Beef and a Chicago dog with bacon. The Italian Beef was tender and super tasty with a nice kick from the peppers. Fantastic Chicago dog extra good with the bacon.

The only reason this isn’t five stars is because in my opinion the food is just a bit too oily. We come here often and practically always order the same thing, few gyros with extra meat, double cheese burger with jalapeño, cheese burger, and a couple orders of fries. The food isn’t the best but it’s quite good, the oil is the only downside of it all. It’s very affordable for the amount of food they provide, and nice customer service.

I’m so glad that tonight I actually remembered to get the Friday night ribs special tonight. I have lived about 10 minutes from Josh’s for a long time and have always meant to check it out. Then when I kept hearing people talk about their great rib special I wanted to try it but kept forgetting on Fridays! Well lucky for me I remembered tonight. I got the full slab special for $20 and it’s normally almost $30. The ribs were so good I would absolutely pay the $30 if I was craving ribs. They do them perfect and the fries were extra good with a side of the merkts cheese. I’m not a fan of coleslaw but they give you a lot if you like it! We also got a gyro and a pizza puff, and they were both very good. I love pizza puffs but if a place has dirty oil you can taste it and it ruins the pizza puffs taste but you can tell their oil was clean and new cause the pizza puff was perfection. We will totally be back.

My brother and I had trouble with the turkey burgers. First, the burger was glued to the foil when I tried opening it and when I asked a staff member for a new one they said it was ok. The meat was dry. Still, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the pictures on the wall. My burger came to me pretty fast. The oil was off. If you want a good patty go to the Culvers around the corner.

May I say wow! The burger is huge, my eyes bigger than my stomach. The fries are great as well, I’m usually picky with fries. The hamerburger meat is actually meat that’s formed fresh. Not frozen nasty hockey puck patties you see at many places. The gyro meat was very good, thank you. They were very nice and helpful. I shall try out your other items soon.
