This Mexican food place was recommended, but my experience was totally different. I thought the place was big and had authentic Mexican food, but the quality was just OK. I like that they have many different options and that they have good desserts too. They didn’t have Jarritos sodas but another brand. The place was pretty clean and the service was good. We were disappointed by the quality of the food and while the service was good, it was slow. I’ll have to give it another try to see if I have a better experience.

Great taco joint. Food is an excellent price and full of flavour. The servings are big. The salsa bar has s variety of temperatures so you can get just the right heat.

Overall, El Rinconsito is a good restaurant and most of the food we had was tasty and enjoyable. But two things were a real disappointment.

First, the French fries. They were clearly frozen, basic supermarket fries. For a restaurant with such good food, this feels lazy. Potatoes cost almost nothing — why not make fresh, house-made fries?

Second, the “fried ice cream.” This was honestly shocking. It was not fried at all — just a scoop of ice cream rolled in cornflakes. That feels misleading.

The place is nice and the rest of the food is genuinely good, which makes these details even more frustrating. Small things like this really affect the overall experience.

The food at El Rinconsito was pretty good — the tacos had nice flavor and the rice and beans were decent. However, the cleanliness really needs improvement. The table and dining area didn’t feel very well maintained, which affected the overall experience. Good taste, but the hygiene could definitely be better.

The food was absolutely delicious! Very authentic and well made. I had the enchiladas and lengua tacos. The service was also very fast, especially given how busy the were. I will definitely be back!

Don’t even think about claiming you know the best Mexican restaurant until you’ve been here. This place feels more authentic than Mexico itself.
The moment you walk in, the vibrant atmosphere and incredible smells transport you south of the border. But the real star is the food. Just look at these tacos—perfectly griddled tortillas holding a generous pile of savory, slow-cooked meat, topped with a fresh mix of cilantro and onion. The roasted jalapeno and onion on the side add a perfect smoky kick.
And the salsa bar? It’s a work of art. From mild to fire-hot, there’s a salsa for every palate, each one bursting with fresh, complex flavors. The deep red and green sauces are standouts. They don’t just serve a sauce; they serve a full spectrum of flavor.
Every bite is a testament to genuine, heartfelt cooking. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. If you’re serious about authentic Mexican food, you owe it to yourself to come here.

Picked up an order from El Rinconsito a couple of weeks ago!

I got the Chipotle Enchilda with chicken and it was delicious! The portion size is not too big, I would say it’s perfect for a meal for a single person. My boyfriend got the chicken tacos and they were also very yummy. They seemed very clean and were not overwhelming taste-wise. I was a really big fan of the food we got from here and I would love to come back sometime soon!

The service was great, everyone is very kind. The atmosphere is very homey and it felt very cozy inside. I’m from Atlanta so it was nice to see the Coke rep <3

I will be back! 🙂

One of my favorite go to Mexican restaurant. The food is fresh and tasty with pretty decent portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Also one of the few restaurants that are open till late around the Bellevue area. 10/10 recommended.

Tried El Rinconsito recently and had a pretty decent experience overall. The vegetarian tacos were just okay—not too flavorful, but fine if you’re looking for a veg option. On the other hand, the fish tacos were really good—fresh, well-seasoned, and definitely worth trying.

The quesadilla was the highlight for me—cheesy, nicely cooked, and very satisfying. The burrito was average, a bit plain compared to the other items.

Overall, it’s a good spot for a quick and filling meal. The food is reasonably priced and definitely worth the money, especially if you’re going for the fish tacos or quesadilla.

This is absolutely unacceptable, I always give this place the benefit of the doubt and hoping that it would change, but no. Recently I found two long hairs in it and this isn’t the first time this has happened. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any new family or person wanting to try a New Mexican restaurant.
