It was my first time here and it is a wonderful place with such a lively atmosphere. Everybody looks happy to work there and the staff are very kind. I ordered the mushroom tacos and you can have free tortilla chips and anything from the salad bar. I ordered the pineapple empanadas and a Jamaica juice. The juice was not cold so I have to add ice which watered it down. The tacos were wonderful but I especially liked all the sauces. I don’t do too well with spicy and onions so this was an overload for me.. My friend ordered the carne asada plate and she also loaded it up with different toppings from the salsa bar. The price ended up being a lot. My friend also Jamaica juice and empanadas. My only complaint is the tipping option. They do not serve you so why are you tipping? I wish they would remove that because the tipping culture is out of control in America. I did tip but next time I won’t because if I’m going up to the counter to get my order and I’m serving myself at the salsa bar then there was no reason for me to tip people who are just doing their job

I recently relocated to Fort Bliss and discovered TacoTote while searching online. The service was excellent, and the arrachera was flavorful and tender. I appreciated their sauce and topping bar, which offered a variety of fresh options to customize my tacos. The freshly made corn tortillas were also a standout. Prices are reasonable compared to every taco place that sells one taco for $5 each. As someone who’s very particular about tacos, I can confidently say this place deserves a solid 10/10 rating. Will be coming back!

Ordered a family platter through the drive thru, theres a sign that says check your order cause they dont offer refunds or exchanges. Checked my bag and everything was in there but then I get home and realize I got a bowl of fat, every bite. So when they say check your order they mean open everything and make sure theyre not just giving you all fat pieces.

Taco Tote has been around for a while, and I know their concept started in Cd. Juárez, not El Paso. The idea is great, and they do have good salsas and sides. But the meat could be better, and they always seem to skimp on it.

A group of three of us ordered the family platter, which ended up being $70 for lunch. For that price, I expected more. The tortillas were pretty bad, and the meat was just okay—not as good as I remember from the past. We also ordered calabacitas, and the serving was barely half full.

What doesn’t make sense is that the family meal only comes with four small sides, and no drinks. For $70, that feels stingy. Honestly, it comes across as greedy. Maybe we ordered wrong, I don’t know. Overall, it was okay, but not worth the price.

Taco Tote on Bassett, a total let down. It’s been something that’s been declining for a few years now. However this last visit was definite. The food was warm when served…about 30min after order was placed! The potato, blah, still hard so bring a heat gun to thaw it out. The dining area is dirty, nearly all tables dirty, floor and drink/salsa counters dirty. Chips were stale and crumbs. Perhaps new management, but not pleasant at all. A disappointment to say the least. Already known for expensive tacos, but the entire experience is surely over-rated now. It’s a shame, many years ago Taco Tote was a great place to eat for a reasonable price.

Worst Taco-Tote I’ve ever been, the restrooms were nasty!!!, trash on the floor, dirty tables.
The guy at the front did not put our order correctly and when they re do the order it took like 20 minutes for 3 tacos. would not recommend it, and would never come back. Disappointing !!!

We make an annual stop at Taco Tote in El Paso and it never disappoints! The mushroom tacos are a wonderful vegetarian option. And the salsa bar is an experience and a great value (free with an entree purchase). Teresa did a great job keeping the dining room clean and taking care of us during our visit. We’ll be back!

My mom went there sunday dec 28 and she had the best experience. A worker named Teresa saw that my mom needed help with her tray and drink and she helped her. My mom was there alone and disabled and Teresa made her feel good. The food was excellent and the service superb. Thanks.
