We had a great experience here as a family. The restaurant manager was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to find us a better spot to sit, which we really appreciated. The fajitas were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The drinks were also top-notch and expertly prepared. If you’re looking for a fresh take on Mexican classics with great service, this is the spot! Highly recommended.

Came here prior to going out and had SUCH a great experience. Food and drinks were phenomenal but the star of the show was honestly our waitress, Monelle! She was efficient, easy to talk to, and just such a pleasure to be served by. Would totally come back just to hope she’s my server. Highly recommend stopping by!

The portions were generous and definitely well worth the money. I’ve never gotten complimentary cheese with my chips before, so that was such a nice bonus. The food was delicious and full of flavor. Everything came out fresh and satisfying. I would definitely go back!

Had the best time here! The service was amazing — our server Naila was so sweet and seriously the highlight of the night.
The food was delicious, and they offer FREE QUESO (yes, FREE queso ) they even decorated our table with confetti stars for my birthday and gave me a free dessert without all the obnoxious singing. Everything came out fast, fresh, and full of flavor, huge portions with amazing flavor!
Honestly, between the mouth watering food, great vibes, and Naila’s amazing service, this place totally deserves 5 stars. Can’t wait to come back! I wish we had one in Raleigh

La Capital MX is my daughter’s favorite Mexican restaurant and we went to celebrate her birthday. We started off with the guacamole that has pumpkin seeds and radishes. It was so tasty. I had the La Capital & La Pasion margaritas that were very refreshing. The glass was smaller than I would have liked, but they were excellent. For dinner, we had the Vampiro (steak), Camaron (shrimp) and Pastor (pork) tacos. They were delicious. This was my first time eating here and I was glad to celebrate my daughter’s birthday at La Capital MX. Kyle was our server, and he was great with his recommendations and provided excellent service.

I was super excited to try this place. We were celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday. The place is really nice. The food was good, the only knock I heard was the chicken used in the taco was a little bland. As far as the service I’m not sure if our server was doing double duty because she wasn’t very present..she would be missing for long periods of time.

We had the mole, mar y Tierra and the steak & shrimp fajitas.
The beef tenderloin on the mar y Tierra was cooked perfectly. The shrimp tasted fresh. This place has the best mole we’ve had in Charlotte.
We recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxed & fun night out.

This was our 4th time eating at La Capital-MX in Southend and it was again well, excellent! We should have posted our review after the first time. Our first 3 times were at the bar or “to go” but this last visit was with friends at a table. Kristen waited on us and was in extremely patient explaining the creative cocktails and numerous entree ingredients. We started with chips and salsa, (hard to find for free these days) and very tasty cocktails and Rose Cava (which was actually very sparkling-hard to find freshly opened bottles or splits in Charlotte) We had the Enchiladas de Mole, El Burro, Enchiladas Suizas and a shrimp dish (can’t remember which one) all excellent. We also had the Ceviche, which we probably wouldn’t order next time. Not because it wasn’t good, the flavor was perfect but the shrimp was slightly under-pickled for our taste, as we both like our shrimp slightly over-cooked and firm. At previous visits we have had the Enchiladas Verdes and Enchiladas Rojas, a tie for which one tastes better.
The service was very attentive but not intrusive. When we finished we were one of the last tables there and they never rushed us, it was not past closing hours but we were the last table there. We realized after we walked out that they really were waiting on us so they could close up (manager, waitress, bartender and likely kitchen staff) but never said a word, just kept checking in occasionally. Kristen even helped us get out of the parking deck gate as she was right behind us and our stamped ticket wouldn’t work (because it had a reasonable time limit that we exceeded ) We definitely will return often and will be more polite about not over staying our welcome. An undiscovered authentic Mexican gem they are!

Me and my family went here for my mom’s birthday and honestly, it was such a great experience. The flavors were amazing—way better than other Mexican restaurants we’ve tried. Our server was super nice and really took care of us. My dad is obsessed with frijoles charros, and he couldn’t stop talking about how much he loved theirs version of them.We will definitely be coming back!
