In creating our Groovy, Far Out and Funkadelic flavors in the Steel City, we knew that we couldn’t lose the incredible taste of our old fashion cake donut. With that in mind each donut was created so that with every bite you would taste our fresh, warm donut, the subtle flavor of our frostings and our crazy selection of Funkadelic toppings; with no one flavor overwhelming the others. All of our stores work hard to make sure that you enjoy those flavors as we intended them from the beginning in our donut shop in Pittsburgh, PA.

What a fun experience!

I absolutely love trying donuts from all over and this experience was unlike any I have had before. They literally dress the donut with toppings on the spot as soon as you order. UMM YES!!! Loved getting to watch all the creativity behind the counter.

We got a 6 pack of a couple different kinds, my favorite was the dirt pie donut. Deliciously sweet

The staff were wonderful, super friendly and made the visit that much better.

Definitely recommend! 10/10.

The space is really small to start with. But that is not that important since we only went in to grab donuts. The donuts itself do not taste good in my opinion and you can feel the oil in them. I like the concept and the variety, but the taste is not worth it for me.

Very cutesy place to go to. Has seating area upstairs. The donuts were absolutely amazing. Me and my girlfriend went and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It’s really cool how they make each donut in front of you. Also the worker was very kind and gave us two free sugar donuts. 100% would recommend!!

These mini donuts are seriously addicting – 50+ fun, creative varieties to try! It’s a unique and tasty experience, well worth checking out in the Strip District of downtown Pittsburgh. The only downside is the tourist-heavy crowd, which can make staff a bit short at times, but overall, it was a great visit!

Great donuts! Love the free samples of the cinnamon and sugar donuts they give out. Staff is friendly too. So many options it is hard to chose.

This was $10 well spent! We ordered 6 donuts and a bottle of water. I didn’t realize at first that these weren’t pre-made. You tell them what flavor(s) you want, and they make them to order. It’s such a great little spot to pop into for delicious custom cake donuts.
There is seating and restrooms upstairs.

I stumbled upon this little cute donut shop as I was exploring the area, and I’m glad I decided to try their little donuts! Very friendly staff, and there are lots of different varieties of toppings to add to your donuts. The donuts are made fresh, and they were very delicious! Cute little shop as well. Thank you!

Pretty solid spot for donuts. They have many of the classic donuts in their little format, but I decided if I was to order from this place, I wanted to try their interesting varieties, the funkadelic donuts. I tried so many different flavors, so I’ll just give a brief overview of each of them.

Cherry pie – very nice and a classic. The cherries are super sweet and the donut itself is well made, balanced, but probably too sweet for many.

Boston cream – another classic. Well made but I would have liked some more cream.

Cookie dough – ordered this one but I don’t think I received it.

Robert brûlée – one of my favorite ones. Great cream, and a nice sugary topping. Also one of the more unique and interesting ones.

Strawberries and cream – nice one. I like coating on top. Not any real strawberries on this one though.

Cherry cheesecake – similar to cherry pie in flavor, a slightly different almost graham cracker coating.

Caramel macchiato – not a ton of caramel and almost no coffee at all, but some chocolate pieces on top.

S’mores – my least favorite one. Artificial tasting chocolate, almost like Hershey syrup but lower quality. Not much flavor.

Coffee and cream – similar low quality tasting chocolate with it. Not much of a coffee flavor.

M and M – quite good. A nice crunch on the donut and plenty of M and Ms.

The donuts themselves are obviously small. You can finish them in two or three bites. Price is a little high as well. Their outside has a nice little crunch but the inside can be pretty dry.

All in all, an okay donut shop. Kind of gimmicky, but still, decent. I probably would t seek it out but some of their donuts are definitely better than others.

This is such a fun place to visit when you’re in Pittsburgh. They have so many donuts to choose from but nothing vegan so keep that in mind if you have dietary needs. They do individual donuts or boxes with half dozen, full dozen, and more. They also have a coffee bar and a variety of other beverages to choose from. I recommend coming at an off time as it can get pretty busy on Saturday morning.
