Out of the 30+ yrs I’ve been eating here, tonight was the 1st time I had ever gotten anything bad or had employees be rude to me. The waitress asked if everything was good. I said the cookies taste bad, but everything else was delicious. I then got dirty looks & was scolded by another waitress & 2 cooks about how fresh the cookies were & other things i couldn’t hear clearly. I said, im not going to argue with you, they were bad. Even the kids wouldn’t eat them. I had to spit mine out. I was in complete shock by the absolute attack by those women. My sister who was with me, said that same waitress was rude to her over some sour tea a few months back. The young waitress who rang us up was apologetic and very kind.

Love this place! There’s a reason they have been open since the ’80s. If you want a real treat, try to catch them on cube steak day. Sides are always varied and delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hurry in because it fills up quickly. The restaurant was almost full and they arranged me and my buddy a place to sit. Highly recommend eating here when you’re in the area.

My husband and I stopped at Shaw’s on 5/22/24. We were on our way home from doctor appointment in Gadsden. We both had sliced beef bar-b-que plate that was amazing. The hash brown potato casserole was delicious as well as my coleslaw and my husbands black-eye-peas. They were extremely busy but the food is worth the wait. These three ladies were working their hinny’s off. They all worked very well together even during answering phone and checking people out. This restaurant is about 3 miles off of I59 at exit 66. They have a large menu with home cooked foods also. Please stop by for a meal, you will not be disappointed.
