Love this place! If you’re traveling 476 it’s about 10 minutes off the beaten path, you will think you made a wrong turn but just keep going! The staff are all amazingly friendly and outgoing, the food is absolutely great (Caprese salad and steak burger for the win!) and if you’re lucky Korina will be on the bar mixing drinks!! The Pocono Tavern Old Fashion is perfect and she’s fabulous! I’m saving this place to come back to again on my travels!

We visited Pocono Tavern on Sunday around 4 pm. It wasn’t crowded at all, and parking was very easy. The food was tasty, and the service was fast.

I’ve seen reviews saying the portions are huge, but I wouldn’t agree — portions were pretty standard. The prices looked reasonable on the menu, but in the end it came out to about $80 for two people without anything fancy, which was more than I expected.

Seating at the booth felt a bit tight with limited legroom, but overall the place is cozy and has a nice atmosphere.

This little restaurant is a gem. It sits out of the way. But it is worth the trip. Korina greeted us with a smile and warm greetings. The food is outstanding. It’s not what you expect. Everything is fresh and delicious and it is served fast. The portions are large. While things in Jim Thorpe are rushed and crowded this was very nice. It’s worth finding.

I was looking for a place for a sit down meal on my ride home from working out of town during the week. I found this amazing place in the middle of the woods with the best food! The caprese salad with crispy shrimp is my favorite along with the crispy chicken tenders. The mozzarella is made in house and the chicken tenders and breaded and fried made to order. The cocktails are to die for and the patrons are friendly. If you’re looking for a great place for a date night or a family dinner, Pocono Tavern is the place!

We had a great dinner at this local eatery. The food was very good. We enjoyed the fried mozzarella which was crafted from their house made cheese and excellent marinara. The hot honey chicken cheesesteak sandwich was delicious but I feel compelled to warn you that it could easily feed 3 people. I don’t usually comment on French fries but the hand cut petal fries that came with the meal were superb. I couldn’t stop eating them. Fred enjoyed the crab stuffed flounder as well. To sum up. Great food, generous portions, good prices and a friendly attentive staff. Do try a seasonal cocktail I enjoyed the rosemary maple old fashioned.

Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed if you come here to eat! We were going to choose another place to eat, and I’m so glad we came here instead.

The food was fantastic in our opinion! My kids and my husband loved there cheesesteak sandwiches. I got a chicken and broccoli rigatoni Alfredo that quite honestly was heavenly!

The apple cobbler, just no words!! Completely mouth watering!

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend!!

Hidden Gem near Jim Thorpe!
We had an amazing experience at Pocono Tavern! We were seated right away on their beautiful outdoor patio—just as charming as the restaurant inside. The food was incredible from start to finish: fresh caprese salad, a perfectly grilled BBQ burger special, rich and flavorful shrimp scampi, and the standout—homemade pistachio baklava. Truly one of the best desserts we’ve ever had!

Great service, cozy atmosphere, and food made with care. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area!

The ATM sign caught me off guard, but after walking in, I was pleasantly surprised. The space is bright and nicely decorated. We were seated quickly and promptly met by our server, Stacey.

Drinks were fast to the table. Stacey shared the specials for the night and answered our questions – I had gone for the scallops, but the chef didn’t like the quality. So while a bit bummed, I decided on the shrimp appetizer and crab cake entree. Hubby got the wedges salad and honey hot cheesesteak.

They butterflied the shrimp and coated it with dressing that wasn’t too thick or sticky sweet. Perfectly complimentary.
The dressing and crispy bits on the wedge salad were delicious.

The crab cakes were an 8/10. I prefer less seasoning and more crab flavor. But if you are an old bay fan, they are spot on.
Damn the chresesteak was huge!

Overall delicious, flavorful, filling, and friendly!
