Went out for Happy Hour at Avocado Grill on Datura Street recently. The food was decent, with dishes like their Calamari and Guacamole with Chips being pretty good, but the overall experience was dampened by a significant service error. My server failed to apply the happy hour discount, essentially overcharging me for my drink/appetizer. I had to point it out a few times before it was corrected. And while the food was okay, this kind of billing issue really detracts from the meal and overall experience.

This place is a vibe of flavor and ambiance! The menu is creative; curry cauliflower and chick peas, calamari tacos, ginger guacamole (unheard of flavor!), frozen Moscow mule (fresh ginger!)… I can’t say enough how much flavor and freshness in this cute restaurant. You wouldn’t regret it. Food quality and prices you can’t beat or its freshness.

Our waiter, Dell, was professional and didn’t rush us thru our appetizer. Consulted us about waiting to place our main order. The guacamole is the best I’ve had in a restaurant. My main was exceptional and my spouse, as a vegan, felt seen. The vegan menu wasn’t an afterthought, but as creative and tasty as the regular menu.

I came here for lunch, it seemed like a nice venue and the reviews were good… not the case. The food was way too pricey for its portion size and quality. The ceviche was decent, but my grilled avocado salad was subpar. The chicken was dry and bland, not even lime could save it. For $30 I’d expect better quality. I don’t recommend this place. Spend your money elsewhere.

Love avocado grill! We came for my daughter’s second birthday. Kelsey was our server. She was so sweet, she hand-made a birthday card for our daughter and brought her a small dessert with a candle The food is always good, my favorite is a truffle edamame app that we have gotten both times we have come. Thanks Kelsey!

This was my first time at Avocado Grill and if I lived here it would be my local. Noah did a great job handling our large party and we never ran out of drinks and he was so good about clearing empties. That is a huge pet peeve of mine when they just let glasses and plates build up on the table. Everything was 5 star! My arugula salad with steak was so delicious!
