Great place for a quick bite and or drink when you’re near Lambeau Field. We’ve come here twice now and both visits were memorable. Chili and Butter Burgers are recommended

PROS
1) Buzzer at the table was a cool old school touch for ordering drinks and foods
2) Across from Lambeau Field
3) Cool wall with signatures from Greenbay Packers players

CONS
1) Ordered starters on the menu and received them with the meal. When I mentioned something, I was told that I should have specified this while ordering. I thought that was a bit odd, considering that the food (chilies and wings) was under the starters section, which one would assume that is an app and would come out before the meals
2) Requested for my curds to be fresh with the entre and then the curds came out way before the meal. Also..odd.
3) Check was dropped off when entres were dropped off, felt very rushed. We ordered an additional chili after our meal and they had to re print out the receipt. Which again, why is it coming out so soon?
4) Waited over 8 minutes for someone to check us out at the front for our bill. All servers were sitting in the front eating. No one was paying attention
5) Refills were never given, had to ask for them.
6) Prices were a bit steep. Bowl of chili was $9.
7) Bathroom smelt like urine pretty bad
8) Bread for the burger seemed old and dried (could be because it was toasted). It was very hard.

ONE and DONE. Will not recommend.

We ordered for pickup so I can speak to service or atmosphere.
We ordered 2 Perch dinners (23.00 each) a burger and chicken sandwich. 75 bucks. I was stunned by what we got. Perch were 2 inch long at best. I would be embarrassed to serve that to a customer. As proof I have a fork and my finger for scale.

I can’t speak to food or service, since we waited in a long line to get a beer, but it was Packer game day, so every popular bar had long lines. The atmosphere, however, was amazing with a great live band pumping out a loud rock beat and lots of happy friendly people. Great place to pre game and post game!

I recently visited Kroll’s and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The burger I ordered came out overcooked and dry, which was surprising for a place known for burgers. The overall food quality felt very low everything tasted like it was frozen and pre-made rather than freshly prepared.

Service was also quite disorganized. The servers seemed unsure where dishes were supposed to go and brought food to the wrong tables multiple times before it finally reached the right one. It created a lot of confusion and made the dining experience feel chaotic.

The building itself could really use some updates as well. The decor feels outdated and worn, which adds to the overall impression that the restaurant hasn’t been refreshed in a long time.

One simple improvement would be serving fresh-brewed iced tea instead of premade tea, which would at least add a touch of freshness to the menu.

I know Kroll’s has been a well-known restaurant in the Green Bay community for many years, but being located so close to the Packer stadium means expectations are high. Visitors and locals alike deserve better quality, better organization, and a more updated dining experience.

Overall, the experience felt below expectations, and I hope they make improvements to both the food quality and the service.

We went there the day before a packer game. It was steady but not packed. We sat at the bar and the service was horrible. My husband ordered a beer, they poured it in a 12oz plastic cup and charged us for a pint. The next beer he got in a pint. We ordered burgers and they came out burnt and over cooked. We were starving after a long day of travel to get here so we just ate it. We also don’t send food back and eat it at any place we go. Fries were an additional $3.50 and you get a small portion. I don’t think I will ever go back. It is just wrong to charge your customers for a pint and pour it in a 12oz plastic. Picture shows the amount of fries that was before I ate any and the very burnt burger.

I want to start off by saying I genuinely enjoyed my food. I thought the hamburger BLT wrap was phenomenal and the malts were perfect. I’m hoping that our night here was a fluke because the food was good.
The service here was very inattentive from the minute we stepped in the door which was around 7pm on a Sunday. Nobody greeted us until a little after we sat ourselves at the counter by the kitchen. Our server came and asked for drinks right away and asked about starters which was fine. After our starter came out and our meal was ordered that server never came back to us again. A different server brought us our meal while our original server went and sat at the next counter clearly taking their break (which we do understand that servers need breaks, that wasn’t the problem at all).
Once our meals were given to us that was the last interaction we had with any staff member until we went to the front to pay. Nobody ever came to check in with us even though other tables around us were being checked in with, we ended up grabbing to go boxes ourselves and heading up to the front to pay without any indication if that was the correct procedure.
If it was made clear somewhere that we would be responsible for getting our own boxes and that we needed to pay up front it would have been a better experience. As it was we spent almost half an hour after we were done eating watching staff members come and go past us with nobody checking in. Not to mention that when our original server was done with his break he disappeared into the back to not be seen by us again.
It was an okay experience; we’re willing to give it another try sometime, maybe more at a peak time to see if we just got bad luck. But it’s not something we will be going out of our way for.

Good classic burger. Walked in, sat ourselves after finding a clean table. All the open tables (4-5) were full of dirty dishes. Took a bit for a server to take our order. Food was good. Never got a refill even though my cup was pushed out. Server never came back. We had to chase someone down for a box and where to pay.

We arrived there after a concert in the parking lot of Lambeau Field. Of course it’s going to be busy but we really wanted the Hot Beef sandwich. We were at tge very first table near the front door and nobody had recognized that we were there so we rang tge buzzer. A young waiter came up and said “what do you want?” with an order table and pen in hand. I said “food” as he the gave me the “da” look. I said well we’ll need menus then as he said “oh”. Two of us order the Beef sandwiches with fries and I asked if they had peperoncini’s or giardiniera for those. 2 Waiters had no idea what I was talking about. What restaurant doesn’t have those kinds of peppers for that type of sandwich? It took our order 45 minutes to get our order. We received 2 Hot Beef Dinners! That’s Beef on mashed potatoes and we got the fries! Wrong items and what kind of cook is not questioning why someone would order fries when they’re already getting mashed potatoes? Due to the long wait we just kept those plates which were rather bland tasting. 3 servers in total helped us of which the original kid had never came back! As management if you know there’s an event across the street would you not add staff for it? I certainly would have. Not a good experience.

With a four star average, I was a little skeptical, but after reading several articles recommending Kroll’s West for their butter burger, I had to give it a shot and I’m glad I did.

Within 15 to 20 minutes of walking in, I already had my food. The process was quick and smooth. You seat yourself and use the button on the wall to get service, which I thought was a fun old-school touch. The staff was friendly and the western-style interior gave it a cozy vibe.

The location is also iconic, sitting right across from Lambeau Field, which made the visit even cooler as I passed through Green Bay.

For about $16, I got a phenomenal double cheeseburger, butter burger style, and it absolutely hit the spot. Overall, a great experience and worth the stop.
