Best place to celebrate your birthday! Not only was the food amazing but so was the service. Our waiter was incredible and professional. There was a birthday card signed by the GM on my table. A happy birthday message on the big board. And the GM personally brought me a box of macarons and made sure we enjoyed our meal. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back! They went above and beyond!

My go to happy hour! Great service at the bar and quickly brought out food. Staffs were polite. Crowd was a good mixture of white and black people.

We ate here with a group to celebrate my birthday. The staff were all very friendly. It is a very busy place so definitely reccomend making a reservation in advance. We had a variety of oysters, scallops, and sushi for appetizers. They were all delicious. The alaskan oysters were our favorite of the apps. The drinks were crafted uniquely and were tasty. For the main course I had a New York Strip, and it was cooked perfectly. The Angus beef was definitely of good quality. Kind of pricey but definitely worth the costs.

Brought my parents out to Buck & Rider while they were in town visiting. We were blown away by our experience! Our server Sultan was knowledgeable & professional while also providing a personal experience. He addressed us all by name, brought us little extras throughout the meal based off our ordering history & even added a message for my dad on the board. A true service professional. Thanks Sultan!

Came to visit Phoenix and we were told to try the Buck & Rider for Happy Hour. They have Happy Hour from 3-7 daily which I have never encountered, normally its not on the weekends. There was about a 45 minute wait at 4:27pm, keep that in mind this place is popular. They have waitstaff that will bring you drinks while you wait in line which is super convenient. Once inside at the bar (you can only sit in certain places for Happy Hour) we ordered Edna’s Picnic Chicken Snack, Voodoo Fried Rice, Oysters, the New England Clam Chowder & Banana Cream Pie. The oysters were honestly some of the best oysters that I have ever had (Crisp Citter & Hood Canal both from WA) I HIGHLY recommend the oysters if you like seafood. The NE Clam Chowder was alright, coming from Boston this is a hard category to maintain the chunks of potato were a bit much for the Chowder. The chicken was underwhelming to say the least, my husbands is better the Voodoo friend rice was flipping amazing, you must try this!! The banana cream pie was Mid, the toppings really made it taste better (caramel, chocolate flakes, graham cracker crust and chunks of banana) in my opinion the pudding wasn’t banana enough.

PLEASE COME TO ATLANTA!
If they opened a Buck & Rider in ATL, we’d be there a couple times a month. A local on our sunset horseback ride recommended it as one of his favorite date-night spots, and wow — he wasn’t kidding. This was hands down the best food, best value, best quality, and best service of our entire trip.

Vibe: Energetic, bustling, clearly a hot spot but still great for date night, business dinners, family meals… or, according to staff, a “meet-up,” too 😉

Reservations: The place was slammed on a Sunday at 6:30, but we got lucky as a party of two and grabbed seats at the sushi bar

Service: Fantastic. Our waitress and the sushi chef were both so warm, helpful, and fun to chat with

Happy Hour: Daily 3–7pm and surprisingly legit

Food Highlights:
• Oysters: Loved the unique Thai chili accompaniment.
• Baja shrimp ceviche: Generous portion and great balance of shrimp, veggies, citrus, and acidity. Tortillas were a bit thick and salty for my liking
• Crispy Brussels sprouts: Huge bowl, super flavorful. They served the goat cheese on the side because of my allergy.
• Butternut squash side with the bacon bits took me by surprise. I finished the entire thing by myself
• Hamachi crudo: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection — even better than the version I loved at The Ends.
• Ribeye: Cooked exactly right.

Only Miss:
• Tataki Salad: Tuna was over-seared, heavily peppered, and seemed like it had been sitting. We basically had to dunk it in the leftover crudo broth to make it work (the broth is so good we were dipping Brussels in it too). *restaurant kindly took this off our bill!

Drinks: Playa de Piñas all night. no notes, just delicious.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Buck & Rider, please expand east — Atlanta needs you!

Buck & Rider never disappoints! The seafood is always fresh and beautifully prepared. The crab cakes are outstanding — made with real jumbo lump crab and just the right seasoning. The restaurant has a nice upscale feel, yet it’s still comfortable for a casual night out. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality seafood.

Took our daughter here for a birthday dinner. Seafood is their specialty, but they do have some other options such as burger, chicken, steak.

Love this place, love the food, the menu, the vibes. Chase, our waiter, was 10/10.

Our only gripe with this restaurant is our consistent poor experience with the hostess customer service. It is interesting it has happened enough to give feedback! We don’t want the restaurant to lose $$.
