ÈL BEBE is a tribute to those that work hard and deserve all the tacos and tequila they can handle. This is a judgment-free taco zone and we applaud the grind as well as the unwind. We built this place for those just like us. We’re here for a great atmosphere to connect and appreciate “unwinding” done right.

Service overall was functional and friendly enough, but missing a few cues you’d hope for in timing and attentiveness.
Things turned around slightly with the chips and queso. The chips were warm, freshly made in-house, and seasoned nicely. The queso was flavorful and generously portioned, making it a satisfying start that set a positive expectation for what was to come.
For the entrée, I chose the spiced ground beef enchilada platter. These were very tasty and well-seasoned with a pleasant spice level without being overwhelming. However, the accompanying beans and rice felt pretty average. They weren’t bad, but didn’t elevate the plate either.
My boyfriend’s carnitas quesadilla was likewise delicious and generously sized. Packed with flavorful meat and balanced fillings.
To finish, we ordered churro fries. Let’s be honest — it’s hard to complain about something fried, coated in sugar, and paired with chocolate sauce… but these were just average. They lacked a fresh, crispy warmth and instead gave off a slightly pre-made vibe rather than the freshly executed dessert experience you hope for.
Most of the food we tried was very tasty, especially the enchiladas and quesadilla, and the fresh chips with queso were a highlight.
Service could use more consistency, and the bar experience wasn’t strong on this visit, but the solid food and overall atmosphere give me confidence that I’d return again, now that I know what stands out on the menu.
My husband ordered the skillet, which was hearty and flavorful, while I went for the brunch burrito—packed with delicious ingredients and just the right kick. Our kids shared the breakfast taco platter, which they devoured (always a good sign!).
Of course, brunch wouldn’t be complete without mimosas, and theirs definitely hit the spot. We wrapped up our meal with the churro fries, crispy, sweet, and the perfect ending to our meal.
The manager, Angel, also stopped by to check in on us, which was a really nice touch and showed they truly care about the guest experience.
ÉL BEBE is definitely a new go-to for weekend brunch. Great food, great drinks, and even better service!
What really made the experience memorable was the service. Freddy was absolutely fantastic; attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and it elevated the whole meal.
El Bebe is a must-visit for quesadilla and taco lovers in DC, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon.
