We made it here during happy hour and it was great. We had the happy hour smash burgers, Cajun tots, Caesar salad and churros. I would go back for 1,000 of those burgers. We also had one drink which was made perfectly (Spar citrus vodka, muffled lemon and lime, and soda water). Service was amazing. I’ll be back soon.

Good food, good drink. Usual funky McM atmosphere. Too few waitstaff. Unnecessarily loud due to loud music over many many speakers: nowhere to avoid it. Food was overpriced.

Atmosphere is great, the vibe is in tune with the area and the age of the building…complete with a wood burning stove in the center of the room.
The Hummus plate was nice but overpowering. It is served with both raw and pickled veggies. Combined with the garlic laced Tzatziki sauce it is a bit much.
Definitely Portland…where everything has its own spin.

We wanted to find something fun and simple for our anniversary dinner and McMenamins was it. We walked in and it was quiet, fire going. It was perfect.
Their seasonal cocktails were amazing.
And the food tasted PERFECT.
I asked for an extra coaster just to have as a little keepsake for our anniversary date and our server gave us 3!

McMenamins has one of my favorite bar food menus. The Cajun tots are a MUST! Everything else I’ve eaten here is also very good. I’m usually pretty pleased with the beer selection. Service has been hit or miss but I keep coming back because the food and atmosphere makes up for it. Really fun to have so many pool tables available and a few TVs to watch games.

Excellent food and very good service from my bartender. Not a huge food menu, made up for by drink selections. Tried the BBQ slider and they were very good along with a dungeon burger. Serving size of the burger was good and not huge like so many places. Toppings we’re fresh and well done. The fries were excellent. Doing good fries takes several steps and some time if done completely in house. The fries definitely deserve special mention for how good they were. The bartender was very friendly and quite attentive. He made great recommendations on a flight of cider. The beer and cider selections are extensive and worth several trips to explore.

The Tavern and Pool McMenamins location is a great spot for delicious food (pizza), drinks, and bar games. I highly recommend the Hammerhead BBQ pizza, the Tropical Storm pizza, the Omnivore pizza, and the Margherita pizza. And definitely order some Cajun tots! There are 3 pool tables and 2 shuffle board games, and also a nice fireplace to warm up. And of course, they have a stocked bar with all the local beers, cidars, and spirits.
