The reason I have this place a 1 star rating is because the food is not good. I asked The 5 people I came here with and we all agreed that it should be given one star. The only reason to come here would be sushi and none of us eat sushi. The salad looked and tasted like a horror show, the lo mein was bad, the Nguyen special was over cooked, the lobster was rubbery and the steak was cut up into little pieces with no flavor and was tough, the orange shrimp’s batter was soggy and the shrimp was again, overcooked. No one liked their food. The only edible food is the sushi because there is no way to mess it up. Don’t get me wrong, the place is beautiful, but their food is terrible and they will hopefully learn how to cook food properly.

I cannot say enough about Nguyen and it’s owners!! We absolutely love their food from the days of their first restaurant down in Pgh area, and make the drive from the South Hills several times a year to indulge in their incredible food. Sushi and fish is FRESH and everything else divine.

Delicious! I’ve been here a couple times in the last couple months. The staff are very friendly. The food is delicious. It’s usually not busy in there, but the dining area is really clean and nicely decorated.
They start out by asking if anyone in the party has any allergies, which I really appreciate. I am a Celiac and I really enjoy them starting out with this rather than having to explain my allergy when ordering! All allergens are clearly indicated on the menu and many dishes can be made to cater to your specific allergy. I felt very safe here. I highly recommend for everyone, including those with allergies/dietary restrictions!

I visited one time and only ordered a few sushi rolls. The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as cold as I prefer my sushi to be. The server was very nice and attentive. The pricing in line with most of its kind. The dining area and restrooms clean and the atmosphere pleasant.
A friend and myself ate in the dining area away from the bar, and the bar area was very lively and active. It appeared to draw a younger crowd that seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, while we could certainly hear the music and laughter, there was a nice balance between the two atmospheres. If they’d just serve the cold foods colder, they’d have a hit!

December 30, 2021. Our first time visiting the new “Nguyens Fusion Bistro” (under new management since 2020). Will NEVER be back unfortunately. They told us to make a reservation then we were the only 2 in there (we should’ve left right then & there!) The place is disgusting, down to the menus. I didn’t even want to touch them. The glasses she brought were even filthy. The bathroom is awful, literally facial hair all over the sink. Toilet was filth. They must be living there or something. The sushi was the worst we’ve ever had. The rice didn’t stay together and it just LOOKED gross. Our check was literally greasy notepad paper. For $80 in sushi? Not acceptable. The woman chef was polite, that’s the only positive thing I’ll say. So disappointed because Nguyens was always our go to sushi spot.

Service was very slow. This was no fault of our waitress who was actually quite awesome. Just short handed on the sushi prep line. But the food made up for it. I got two different vegan sushi rolls and it was definitely the best sushi I ever had, even compared to when I used to eat fish. And the wasabi was possibly the hottest I’ve tried. It was amazing. My girlfriend got the tofu curry and she was very impressed as well.

New ownership has led to a major plummet in quality of ingredients and restaurant atmosphere but with the same prices. We’ve returned twice since the changeover and both times were very disappointed. My husband and I used to order three rolls of sushi for around $50 and it was outstanding. Now we receive gas station quality sushi for $50.

The sushi is delicious, and the mango passion tea was nice. The dumpling were very appetizing, too. I love going there with my mom and its not many people go there, which is bad but good because they don’t take to long to get your meals cooked. All in all, its a place that I recommend.

First time here and it was a great first impression. Nice updated decor inside and friendly professional staff. We sat at the sushi bar. Ive only been to maybe 4 or 5 different places for sushi since I started frequenting sushi restaurants about a year ago. This was the best sushi Ive had! The rolls are full and delicious. So much so I had to order a second after I finished my first! Alaskan roll and volcano roll. The salmon sashimi is outstanding and the sushi chefs are very helpful if you have any questions. Not only will I be back but I cant wait to go back!

Ordered sushi for takeout. My 2 favorite rolls are the caterpillar & spicy tiger. The employees were very friendly. My sushi was fresh & tasted just like it did years ago when I first tried it & fell in love with it! I will keep coming back for sure!
