Simply put, the trip to Staten Island is worth it for Denino’s.
The regular cheese pie alone is outstanding. Perfect crust with that slight crisp underneath, great char on the bubbles, fresh mozzarella, balanced sauce, and just the right amount of basil. It’s simple, but when it’s done this well, that’s all you need.
The vodka pie was unreal. The sauce is creamy, rich, and packed with flavor without feeling heavy. It coats the mozzarella perfectly and the crust still holds up slice after slice. That sweet, slightly tangy vodka sauce with the char from the oven is a combination that’s hard to beat.
The buffalo wings were excellent. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and the sauce had real flavor, not just heat. The fried zucchini was a sleeper hit. Perfectly breaded, crunchy, and great dipped in marinara. Even the sautéed spinach with garlic was fresh and done right.
Denino’s feels old school in the best way. Big menu, generous portions, and food that’s consistent and confident. Nothing trendy. Just really good Italian food and pizza that delivers. The service was amazing too. They were very attentive to us and shook everyone’s hand at the end of the meal. What a great experience!

Food and service perfect! Best fried calamari and red mussels I’ve had in decades. The ‘garbage’ pie is fantastic, loaded with meat, great crust!
Our server was cordial and did a great job.

Growing up on Staten Island and now living in NJ for 20 years, I still pay the toll to come back here regularly. Do not miss out on the fried calamari & other appetizers… consistently high quality and generous portions. Great pies as always. Service is efficient even when busy… many of the servers have been there for ages.

Denino’s is a Staten Island classic for a reason! We’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints when you want that perfect thin-crust bar pie. The crust is super crispy, not too thick, and holds up great even with heavier toppings. We got the garbage pie (loaded with sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions – pure chaos in the best way) and a garlic pie on the side, both were killer. The clam pie is also a standout if you’re into that.

The stars all aligned When I researched opinions of the best pizza in Staten Island! We went there on a whim before a basketball game at the local college. When we drove up, we were a little skeptical because there wasn’t a lot of parking around there on a busy Saturday night. As luck would have it, somebody was coming out out of the parking lot so we were able to nab a spot! We put our name in for a table for two, however, we saw a couple seats at the bar. In effort to save time, we decided to eat at the bar! What a great decision that was. We met Jimmy and Hamad. Jimmy was so amazingly engaging from the get-go! He was attentive to our needs and the bartender that you want for great conversation and making it such an enjoyable experience. It’s always great when wait staff can give you great suggestions no matter what. these two light up the bar. Our food was amazing! Never had fried calamari that I got suggested to dip in buffalo wings sauce. That was incredible. Their sauce is so smooth and just the right of salt and sweet. Our pizza was nothing like we’ve ever experienced before. It is a super super super thin crust. Ours had regatta sausage and onion on it. It was so good! I was so stuffed after one piece but had to have two. I don’t need to try other pizza places on Staten Island. I know I found the one that I will recommend for everyone to go to and I will plan to visit again and again! Mind you it took us an hour and a half to get there because we were coming from Long Island! Thank you so much for such an incredible experience.

Christmas Eve wouldn’t be the same without Denino’s fried calamari (or “galamad” as we say!) as part of our Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes. Light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned — truly the best we’ve ever had. The portions are generous, and the quality never disappoints. Our guests devour it every year, and Denino’s has been a place our family has gone to eat for four generations. A true Staten Island classic. Buon Natale!

Went in a Saturday night. Wait was only 5minutes. We ordered mozzarella sticks, baked clams a salad, a vodka pie and the white pie with prosciutto. They were all delicious. We especially loved the pizza crust, cooked just right. I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere bc you are eating off of paper plates and the table was a little sticky when we sat. Other than this, we enjoyed our meal and will be back. Def a recommend try if you haven’t.
