This place never disappoints. Generally, there is a line to get in. The atmosphere is lively when it’s busy. The place is about medium size, not too cozy and not that big. There is outside seating. The service is great. I’ve been here several times & always get the Creamy vegan ramen. It’s really good and tasty. My friends loved their ramen bowls and raved about the shishito peppers. I highly recommend this place.

Have been to this location multiple times and am never disappointed. There is almost always a waitlist, but it’s very easy to walk around the area while waiting for food. Tried the winter special on this visit, and it came with a good amount of meat, but I think I would recommend the more classic options. Spicy miso is generally a go-to for me when I come here.

Guy next to us had his folding chair collapse. He fell to the ground and seemed ok. I prefer to eat without worrying about the structural integrity of the chairs. Nice to sit outside though.

House ramen was good, subbed wheat noodles with spinach noodles, al dente. Vegan ramen was ok, strange to drink savory soy milk. Fried garlic and onion toppings were delicious.

I had dinner here with my friends, and overall it was a great experience.
Our server Isaac, along with all the other staff, was super friendly and made us feel very welcome.
The atmosphere was lively and really felt like being in Japan, which made the experience even better.
The food was amazing, and even the desserts were delicious. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to.

I thought this place was pretty good… decent amount of vegan options (my main reason for eating here). I had the creamy vegan ramen 7/10. The vegan gyoza was great.

We sat at the table for quite a while before realizing that you have to order in your phone after scanning a QR code, that was a little annoying. The service was good other than that and we didn’t have to wait very long after putting our name down.

Hinodeya is one of my favorite ramen spots in the city. I would rank it above marufuku. Both the house ramen(dashi broth) and the miso ramen are great. The crispy kale is a nice extra topping

The karage and spicy tonkatsu are great but the real star is the ramen broth. It is light and the tare hits the spot. I also like that the chashu has a spiral cross section compared to marufukus shaved pork belly pieces. This allows it to break up more easily.

Authentic Japanese Ramen. We tried the level 1 & 2 spicy Ramen. Now no more selection of spicy levels. They give you spicy powder.

Another day I ordered the vegetarian ramen to try. The noodle was green and soup was made from soy milk. It was surprisingly good. I also tried the other kind of vegan ramen. It’s also good. But I would say the vegetables are not enough from the nutritional standpoint. So If you ordered with some other vegetables, that would be perfect. Having said that, I really like the creamy vegan ramen!

The outside seating is perfect for pet.

Ramen break in SFO!
Our family loves ramen, so while visiting San Francisco today, we checked out this cozy spot. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but the food was really good!

I usually go for vegetarian ramen (because it’s often the only option), but this place had a chicken ramen made entirely with chicken broth—no pork or beef, which was a pleasant surprise!

It’s great to finally have more than one option when craving ramen.

One small thing: I felt the veggie ramen was a bit too leafy—maybe they could balance it with some other veggies.

Overall, really happy with the experience. Would definitely go back!

Decent option for vegan ramen – they have two vegan dishes. Got the creamy one – the broth was very flavorful. Toppings were good, really liked the crispy kale topping. Not to bad to get a table for 6 at 6:30pm on a Friday, just had to wait a couple minutes. A bit on the pricy side but normal for ramen here.
