This was our second visit, and both experiences were great. The first time we came with a large party of 16, and the food still came out quickly. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and did a wonderful job taking care of such a big group. Before we left, we bought some chocolates, and every one we tried was delicious. We were also given free cookies, which was such a nice touch.

The Reuben was so good that we had to come back again, this time with just a group of four. Once again, the food came out within just a few minutes of ordering, and we were given free cookies again. The restaurant is decorated with lots of Christmas décor, which makes it feel very festive and cozy.

Good place !

Big food portions, multiple options, cute place.

We went for breakfast/brunch at 11am on a saturday and the parking lot was really full and so was the restaurant. To get a place in line it was kind of confusing so we lost a few minutes in that.

We then ordered corned beef hash breakfast and pancakes. The first one came with sausage and eggs. It took around 30 minutes to get the food. Sausage was very good, overall everything was what you would have expected.

Would go back but only early in the morning.

1st impressions are lasting impressions.
The Excellent food is what has kept me coming back 10 times.
Excellent service is another expectation.
The portions are more than what I paid for on any meal i picked.
The cookies and other pastry’s are like “Dude I can’t eat the whole thing.”
The steaks are toe to toe in flavor and portion size with the Steak Houses anywhere I’ve had at other steak houses.
They have plenty of Souvenires to choose from and for excellent for friends n family.

The food is cooked by a very professional chef (cook) and he knows his profession.
I go to many steak house throughtout the world and this is by far one exceptional Cookie Jar Resturant in Fairbanks,AK.
What can i say about atmospher, i would compare it to riding a subway or in an elevator “Everyone sticks to their own world and group” unusual ? No but as a 1st time visitor to this Harsh cold environment it warms the heart. N memory….

We’re here from Missouri and if we come back this will be a must eat! Breakfast was amazing. Big portions. Everything was soooo good! The sausage links were available FIRE! My omelette looked like it had a pound of ingredients and was cooked to perfection.

The best part was the service. Our waitress was all smiles and wiring her butt off for everyone. Best service we’ve had in Alaska!

Went here with a coworker. Hadn’t been in years. I ordered the country fried steak and he got the biscuits and gravy. Both meals were excellent. The hash browns were nice and crispy. The country fried steak was very well seasoned and had plenty of gravy. The side portion of bacon was more than we could finish. The service was friendly and fast. Overall an excellent breakfast experience

We visited fairbanks from Dallas, TX and were in need of a wholesome breakfast. The Cookie Jar was the perfect spot. Great service, real wholesome food, and the vibe was giving grandma’s house. You have to grab a cookie or 7.

Food is nice but the serving is really huge so be careful on how much you are ordering. Cookies look so tempting I had to get some on the way out. Love the service fantastic, very attentive and well taken care off by the folks.

5 star alert!!! Awesome Breakfast Spot! Visiting Fairbanks to hopefully see the Northern Lights and found the Gem of a restaurant. Our server L. Rainey was a delight and so nice they could get 5 stars from her alone. She was busy but ensured you felt that you were the only person in the restaurant. Ask for her if you go and feel at home. The food was amazing and the portions are hugh. The restaurant is small but full of life. The picture shows what all we had which you would consider a basic Breakfast but…. it is delicious. Give this place a try!! I wish I had enough time in to try the lunch and dinner….. maybe it’s time to rearrange the schedule.

So good!! Husband said best chicken fried steak he’s ever had and they have a cinnamon roll with cream cheese and berry compote that’s amazing. Also I don’t usually care for bacon but it was delicious here. Perfect meal after a long day of travel yesterday and -30 weather!

Delicious! This place was recommended by a friend in SoCal before my visitors left town. It did not disappoint. I had the quiche and soup of the day. The mushroom soup was so thick and creamy, like whipped cream. The artichoke and chicken quiche was a huge portion and not overly seasoned. A Sr. discount was provided without even asking. I will recommend to others.
