I will NEVER put another penny of my money into this Steak ‘n Shake again. I received the absolute worst service today that I have ever had at this location, and I have had some lousy experiences here.
To start out, I walked in and placed an order to go. When I walked in there was one car in the drive thru, and two customers at tables – not what one would call busy. Dhameer H (according to the receipt) took my order, and got it wrong. She asked if I wanted everything on the kids burgers that I ordered, I confirmed that I did, and when I got home found that the burgers had NOTHING on them. But before I ever got home and found that out, when I got to my car I realized that she only charged me for one kids burger instead of the two that I ordered. Instead of going home to an angry child I decided to pull into the drive thru to get another kids burger.
I pulled up to the order box and waited a few minuted until someone (possibly Carlos M according to the name on thereceipt) confusedly says “hello?”I tell him I want to order the kids burger and fries, he gives me the price and I pull up and wait in line to pay. Once at the window, I pay and he gives me my receipt, and I wait. Two minutes later a bag gets put down next to the window. And I wait. He continues taking orders, and I wait. He is inside the window joking around with his friends, and I wait… The bag sat there by the window wth me waiting for over ten minutes before he opened the window and all but tossed the food at me.
By the time I got home (a five minute drive) ALL the food was cold. As I said in the beginning of this review, I will NEVER put another penny of my money into this Steak ‘n Shake again. Even if someone else offers to pay for my food I will have no part in supporting this kind of behavior.

I never leave negative reviews. Ever. It’s not worth the time. But time is what this Steak N Shake took from me. 45 long, painfully slow minutes filled with uncertainty and the sinking feeling of defeat. I love this chain and have never had a bad experience at one of their stores. I hope this franchise is just ironing out some growing pains. I know it’s new. But after waiting 20 minutes for water and 45 without receiving our food, we bailed. It’s weird. There were plenty of staff, yet it seemed they were busy with nothing. Check back in a few months after they’ve gotten their act together (hopefully).

It’s a new building, so it’s clean and bright inside. The food was ok. The service was terrible! Waited over 30 minutes for 2 burgers and fries. Didn’t tell us they were out of something we ordered until we asked why we didn’t receive it. Never brought water refills or napkins, even though we asked 3 times. Brought the check after we tried to pay without it (after waiting 20 minutes for it). Won’t be going back.

The line was terribly long in the drive thru. It took like 10 to 15 minutes just for the person in front of me to have someone get their order. Then it took 15 minutes for me to actually reach the window. It was just really really slow. Employees were in the parking lot playing around and it was just really slow. I understand if they were busy but it wasn’t anyone in the diner or line.

This was the worst Steak and Shake that I have ever been to! It took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table and take our order. It took another 30 minutes for most of our food to come out. Three of our orders were incomplete. We ended up waiting another 15 minutes and still didn’t get all our food. We told them to just take it off the bill, which they did but it took another 15 minutes! Altogether, this was the worst hour and 15 minutes at a fast food restaurant! As I watched the kitchen, there was at least 12 people hanging around. No one had any sense of urgency or customer service!

I haven been to one in years. This particular arrow was recommended by our waitress at Bob Evans the night before. It is only about 8 months old. Very clean and tidy. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. We had a great time visiting and since it fiancee’s first time here she got her soda free. The food was as good as I remember. Most of the staff seemed very friendly. I would go back to this store again or we come to Cleveland again.

Worst Drive-Thru Experience of My Life!
I haven’t been to a Steak N Shake in years so was excited to see this one open up…mistake. Pulled in about 9:55 one night..long line, but once order in I was “committed”…but then didn’t get to window for like 40 minutes!!!! They had a ton of people in the place but it looked like a disaster area of which I asked to speak to a manager…”You’ve got people standing, others doing jobs like it appears cleaning they shouldn’t be doing when we’ve been waiting over a half hour!” He apologizes…but no offer of rectifying anything though. Anyway, they’ve screwed up my order so have to retake..and then they screw that up(I had a coupon so girl’s telling me they can’t honor cause it was a full “meal” but “we don’t have ice cream left to make milkshake”. -“Okay, just give me a Coke then”..can’t do apparently but then she finds out they have “Cookies & Cream” left so offers that..okay but then by this point I’ve watched my bag sit for 10 minutes and when I receive, they’ve left out the side dish…”oh, that has to be heated in the microwave….” -“So you just weren’t going to give it to me then!?!? What does that even mean!?!?” By that point I was done..”Give me my money back; here’s your food back” to which it then takes her another 7-8 minutes cause she returns cash to the wrong order, and I had the coupon..even then she still screwed it up, but I just didn’t hand the Coke back so guess they gypped me a buck and me them a drink. Still, just terrible; If I could give ZERO stars I would! At least it didn’t really cost me money, but by the time I pulled out of there it was 10:49..almost an hour after I arrived! And no food so went to Rally’s just down the street..wait time there not great, but still less than 10 minutes.

That steak and shake had all the cars blocked in for 45 minutes at least. They didn’t buss the tables, poor management and took an hour for our meal to arrive. They were fully staffed and yet many people just got up and left. Some of the waiters were goofing off and talking to there friends. It was awful that I only seen one out of 4 waiters actually working, looks nice but save your time.
