The Lazy Maid Crêperie is truly a hidden gem.
The ambiance and décor were simply amazing. Every little detail was charming, cozy, and thoughtfully done.
The crêpes were absolutely delicious, light, flavorful, and so delightful with every bite. And the coffee? Easily one of the best cups I’ve had in a long time. Perfectly brewed and the perfect complement to the meal.
The service was outstanding, warm, attentive, and welcoming. You can really feel the love and care they put into everything.
I will definitely be coming back. If you’re looking for a little taste of France right here in Brooksville Florida, this is the spot! ☕

I had to take away stars because,
1. The service is lacking. We sat waiting for almost 20 minutes before a server greeted us. (We watched other tables sit waiting as well)
2. Once we ordered and were served our food, we did not see our server until we were done eating.
3. My drink was never brought to me until after our food arrive when I asked why I had not gotten it yet.

Overall it is a great concept. The location, while there is limited parking and the seating is cramped, is very cute. The table bases do not help the cramped feeling at all.
Fix the tables and the service issues and it might be a 5 star.

Today we visited The Lazy Maid Creperie in Brookville, Fl. I have to tell you this establishment is so unique and special. It was quite busy but we got right in. The staff is friendly and attentive. The table ordered strawberry & banana crepes and French toast with strawberries, which were to die for. My drink of choice is a vanilla cafe latte and I have to say, it was the best I have ever had.
The restaurant is dog-friendly but our poodle, Rudy, sat the initial visit out BUT he will be returning with us on our next visit.
I’ve included some photos ( even the bathroom is cute) so you can view the uniqueness. Bravo to the owner, her family and employees for offering such a friendly atmosphere to dine in. Absolutely loved it!

I really wanted to like this place. It’s in an old house, it has a vintage french eccletic style, the staff was nice, the price was fine, but the food was a miss.

We had a savory and a sweet crepe and both tasted very flat. The sweet crepe was just a sugar bomb, even the lemon curd. We expected a citrus zing but only got more sugar.

The savory crepe was similar. Were it not for the bottom shelf salsa to add some acidity I don’t think I could’ve finished it.

All the crepes look big and impressive on the plate. Perhaps that’s the point. They certainly look great on social media.

So yesterday I went to Brooksville to try The Lazy Maid Crêperie and Y’ALLL. It was such an experience! For reference it was an hour and 45 minutes to get there and I show up and it’s crawling with people, inside and outside. I was told it was gonna be a 40 minute wait and I was like no worries, it must be good if everyone else it waiting around, right??

So I’m sitting outside on one of their many garden chairs, just talking on the phone with my mama and I get called in, it is the most preciously, well thought out decorated restaurant. You can just tell the owner put her heart and soul into the place.

My server was absolutely precious, I ended up ordering a savory crepe, it was so good. But the best part was their creme brulee. Creme brulee is my absolute favorite dessert, and I don’t know what their secret is but they are doing it right. The custard part almost tasted like it was whipped, and the carmelized sugar had a hint of something to it, it made it almost taste like some subtle notes of butterscotch.

Anyways, when my server comes back around I have to tell her look I drove this far, and this is the best creme brulee I’ve EVER had. And she says to me that she is so glad to hear that, her mom is actually the owner and would love to hear it.

Not long after that Mrs. Val is sitting at my table and we are laughing and talking well after their closing time, and I just have to say that Mrs. Val, that restaurant is truly you. Your restaurant and staff are efficient and wonderful. Your taste in decor and creativity is amazing. The food is spectacular and you guys most definitely deserved Restaurant of the Year. You guys earned it!

Thank you for making my experience personable and memorable. You’re truly a shining example of what small business owners should be like. And also, thank you to your daughter for doing a creme brulee to go for me! I’m currently savoring every little bite while writing this post. I will be back for sure! Tell your daughter to keep making those reels, because it makes people like me drive almost 2 hours to come see y’all! Keep up the amazing work, and I hope you and your husband go antique hunting soon! Until next time!♥️

First time here with my girlfriends. So cute! I had Dulce de Leche hot chocolate and Banana Dreams. My friends had Springtime in Paris and Expressos. Everything was so delicious! I had to take half of my crepe home, it was large. Plus the hot chocolate filled me up and loved the salted carmel on the hot chocolate. We will be back so we can try something different next.

It was very busy. ( 1hr wait. )
No reservations taken but you can get on the wait-list. (Wish they had told us that. We drove an hour and then waited an hour since others had called ahead.) We ended up sitting on the porch so not so great for service or atmosphere. However, the interior is beautiful. The pics show the lovely rooms inside. The food was wonderful. Savory and sweet. Complimentary champagne for Valentine’s Day was a great surprise. Deffinattly going back… And calling ahead!
