This place is Absolutely a wonderful hidden gem in portage. Food was super fresh and tasted amazing. All the staff was nice and attentive, we had plenty of seating for our unexpected group of 9. The drink and cocktail menus were awesome and the appetizers were on point. Great selection of food to choose from, and they have a kids menu we have 5 kids and they all enjoyed their food as well. We will certainly be back to try more things.

Really disappointed with this place. I asked for my burger well done and it came out raw in the middle. This isn’t the first time either — I’ve ordered wings from here before and they were soggy and undercooked. I’ve tried giving this spot multiple chances because I actually love their Firecracker Burger, but every time they let me down. At this point, I don’t think I’ll be ordering again. They should probably invest in some thermometers for the kitchen. Taking my money elsewhere.

I first came across this restaurant last summer accidentally when a friend & I left the beach because it was too cold. The burgers and onion rings are so absolutely amazing! I don’t live nearby so I hadn’t been back until I went to visit my cousin in Valpo. We googled restaurants nearby and violà! This one popped up. I was excited to try it out again and it did not disappoint! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in a restaurant! The beer battered onion rings and Parmesan fry sides were delicious too! Music was a little loud but I think we were sitting right under a speaker. Our waitress was great. I will definitely stop here again.

We’ve been talking about trying this place for a while and finally made it in last night. Service was great, the food was really good, and we’ll definitely go back. My girlfriend had the classic cheeseburger with fries, I had the bourbon steak sandwich with onion rings, and we had the tres leches cake for dessert. We also had a cup of chili as an appetizer. I also had their Fancy Ass Old Fashioned which I thought was really good.

My husband & I chose this for a date afternoon. This establishment was exceptional both in food and service. The average cost was approximately $45, but it was well worth it for a superbly crafted burger and fries. I opted for “The Pub” and he ordered “The Firecracker” and we both got cajun fries. We chose not to drink alcohol today but definitely will check it out next time. Due to the generous portion sizes, neither of us were able to finish our meals, so we elected to take our leftovers home for dinner.

This is the spot for anyone who loves a good burger and fries. Both the burger and fries were great. The parmesan garlic fries were good too, especially if you like a little flavor in your fries although the fries are great and don’t need the extra help! That and the good service and cool decorations make this a place you should certainly stop at for food and drinks.

Reason for 4 stars is the food is really greasy and too salty. Specifically the meat. The cheese curds and fried pickles were AMAZING! Sauce is really good too. Beer selection is awesome.
