I love this café! Stopped for a quick lunch after hiking in Zion and it did not disappoint! I had a raspberry lemonade and the Avocado Chip Burger with sweet potato fries. I kid you not, their sweet potato fries are the BEST I have ever had. There’s also a little mercantile in the same building that has a wonderful selection of new and vintage clothing, as well as various gifts and souvenirs. Will definitely be going back!

One of the best restaurants to visit while you’re visiting Zion. They have a wide variety of options, great for families. We visited during the off-season in January, and although crowds are smaller during this time of year, the restaurant was still pretty full on a Sunday night. Even still, we had no wait for a table or food. Much of the seating is outside but they have outdoor heaters that make it comfortable. All of our meals tasted great and our server was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend!

We came here for lunch after a couple of hikes and it was amazing! We came at a peak time but even then, we waited around 15min. Our server was the nicest. Food arrived SUPER quick which was great because we had 2 severely hangry toddlers! My burger was SO good. We will for sure come back!

Stopped in for dinner after a full day hike a Zion. Happy to see that they have clearly marked vegan items on their menu. We got the Portobello Avocado Salad and the Impossible Burger. The salad was good, and would probably order it again. The burger had to be served on Sourdough bread because the bun wasn’t vegan. It’s also supposed to come with Provolone cheese and mayo, but both of these were omitted as they don’t have a vegan substitute. It tasted good, but didn’t quite feel like a “burger” because of the bread, but it wasn’t bad. I would probably order it again.

We stopped on a locals recommendation. It was an easy walk from the hotel. We were seated and waited on quickly.
The server suggested the ribs and I must say they were tasty. I ordered the 1/2 rack. The sweet potato fries were also good. It was a ton of food! Salad was good except the black olives. Easy enough to pick off.
The patio area was nice with heaters and not too loud.
It was good and would suggest. Just be mindful the serving sizes are plentiful.
Enjoy!

Oscar’s Café – Springdale, UT

If Zion National Park itself decided to open a diner, this would be it.

The pancakes made me feel warm and cozy in a way that suggested I should immediately take a nap by a fireplace, possibly under a Pendleton blanket, while someone whispered affirmations to me. Fluffy, comforting, and spiritually reassuring.

The green chili horseshoe, however, deserves its own paragraph and possibly a shrine. Delicately crafted with green chili, eggs, potatoes, cheese, slow-roasted pork, and—this is important—the souls of gods past, it was a masterpiece. Each bite felt intentional. Reverent. Like the kitchen staff briefly paused to honor the ancestors before plating it.

And the coffee… oh, the coffee. Served in appropriately large mugs (none of that dainty nonsense), it reminded me of heaven—if heaven has refills and understands the emotional needs of hikers who just stared into a canyon and questioned their place in the universe.

Oscar’s Café isn’t just breakfast—it’s a religious experience with pancakes. Eat here. Your body, your soul, and your caffeine addiction will thank you.

After a full day yesterday and an 8 mi. hike to Obersavtion Point, today I woke up and came downtown here to have an amazing breakfast. It was rainy today and I still planned on seeing the Narrows later and take on the visitor center in Zion and History center. But first I needed food!!! Oscar’s did not disappoint. I had some coffee and the Green Chili Horseshoe. Seasoned potatoes, cheese and shreded pork, the verde sauce 2 over medium eggs and guac and sour cream. Exactly the fuel I needed. Service was great and can’t wait to come back and share with others this cool place.

Came in Jan on a weekday night and no space to sit on the inside but there were space heaters. The green chili enchilada was Tex mex with a lot of meat and sauce and delicious. The salmon salad was great with the pistachios added a great crunch. The carrot cake was amazing!!! The cream cheese was airy and the cake itself was perfectly moist.

Heard this was the place to be. It was alright, but it’s not a top pick for me. I did love the quesadilla I got. But I chose just an appetizer cause I didn’t love the other options.
Limited meat options (no steak or carne asada) my companion didn’t care for his food.

They also didn’t refill our waters but they were busy. We we’re seated under the counter where they pass out the food so they did need to reach over to get hot sauces – not a big deal but interesting.

The experience was excellent overall, from the quality of the food to the reasonable prices and attentive customer service. The food was amazing and well worth the price—we felt like we got great value. On the first night, I had one of their burgers, which was fantastic. On the second night, I tried the ribs, and they were equally unreal. My wife is a vegan and they made her great meals each night as well. Highly recommended. (carrot cake was so good and homemade)
