This was our first time in Newberg, and we were so pleasantly surprised by our experience with this restaurant. Service and decor were outstanding and the food was extraordinary. Fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. We want to try everything out on the menu. We ordered vegetarian options and will be back to try the fish. They were sold out of the salmon by the time we arrived. Please give Liberty a try… You will be so happy you came!

Restaurant week at Liberty Street Bistro was amazing. From the specialty craft cocktails to the delicious dinners with a few celebrity sightings, Liberty Street proved to be the place to dine in Newburgh! We were pleasantly surprised as we haven’t been there in years since they first opened. Don’t miss the shrimp salad, friend artichokes, or the homemade pappardelle pasta with scallops. without a doubt one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. the menu is carefully curated and the drinks are incredible. servers are above and beyond, and Zach, the bartender makes incredible cocktails. the owners just recently renovated their space and it’s beyond gorgeous with the maximalism deep green walls and mid century style chandeliers, it’s the perfect atmosphere. highly highly recommend.

Me and a couple of good friends were hungry and in the area so we decided to drop by Liberty Street Bistro in newburgh. We walk in and the place looks very nice, we felt bad because the place was closing soon and they only had one waitress working the bar and doing food. She was very nice and helpful even tho she was doing so much. We all ordered the steak and each of us said the same thing, WOW. It was very nice, melted in your mouth with each bite, the potatoes were awesome very tasty wish the steak portion was bigger or not cut up already but very good.

Appetizers, deserts and cocktails were outstanding. The main course was average. The steak and fries were dry and insipid. Burger was better. The servers were rushing us a lot. Ambiance was good.

Beautiful restaurant and fast and friendly service. The menu doesn’t have a ton of options and the mains are almost entirely sandwiches with a few salad options. The bread just fully dominates the sandwiches and in not a great way. Both types of bread we tried were super dense and didn’t have much flavor. The “Loaded Chicken Sandwich” was not loaded, it was a small portion of pretty basic chicken salad on dry bread. I did like the potatoes that came with the sandwich (for an additional $6). Brooklyn vibes and Brooklyn prices- this was an expensive lunch for what it is!

It took us a while to get to this local place. We are disappointed we didn’t go sooner. Everything was delicious.
The artichoke hearts, the bread from The Newburgh Flour Shop, and the perfectly cooked burger.
We will definitely be back.
