We came here the day after we got married in Breckenridge and absolutely fell in love with the place. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere are all stellar. I got the salmon plate and it was so good that I ordered it the next three times we visited. My husband did the same with the “cake and eggstras.” I think this is officially “our place” now ❤️
Update: There’s a waitress there named Ashley that was FANTASTIC. My coffee cup literally never emptied completely and she was insanely accommodating for my special dietary needs.

Alfred Packer omelet rocks, a fave or mine. My friend got their chicken fried steak, and loved it. Great food and atmosphere! A must visit when in Summit County!

I arrived at noon on a Monday and there was a 40 min wait. It appeared busy which was surprising for a weekday. My one child ordered the child’s oatmeal. There wasn’t any fresh fruit but just a side of brown sugar and raisins. It tasted off so my daughter only had a few bites. It seemed expensive for what it was worth. I ordered egg omelet with spinach, mushrooms and avocado. It came with a side of hash browns. They were cold and the whole omelette also cold. The edges were so dried out it was crusted. So, it was clearly sitting out for a long time. The mushrooms looked like they came from a can and were soaked with oil. Not a single piece of spinach was in the omelet. To top it off there was a long black hair on the top of the eggs. I have blonde hair. I didn’t complain but probably should have. I asked for a side of salsa and it was in a small plastic cup about 2 oz and I was charged $2. My friend recommended this place but she said she hasn’t been there in a long time. Save your $, super overpriced for what the quality is. Staff seemed friendly but very rushed. Then the card reader had 28% tip already pushed. Sad that restaurant prices keep rising and the quality keeps declining.

It was fairly busy when we got arrived. Was seated in a timely manner everyone enjoyed their eggs benedict they had healthy substitutions as well. I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy was a little dissapointed this didn’t come with hashbrowns and had to ask for them on the side.

The food wasn’t great, my dad and do both got the fish and eggs breakfast and the fish was bland.
The eggs came out overdone but the waitress quickly corrected the error of the kitchen, so that was good service
Also the cost estimate is WAY off, it says 10-20$ per person… Nope. We went in as two people and came out with a 66$ bill. And that’s not even the most expensive on the menu.
It’s a cute little place with good people, but they are lacking in the seasoning department.
I do this to help others who are out of their state or area find good tasting and affordable places with good people. I hope this helps those like that in this area.

Good meal, though it didn’t live up to the reviews I had read. I’m kinda sorry I spent $9 on the cinnamon roll. It was served warm – a huge plus – but was a bit doughy. Another big plus was the smaller size plates option (2 egg omelets instead of 3 egg), with a slightly lower price. My spinach, onion, and cheese omelet was made with fresh spinach (good) but the potatoes were not at all flavorful. My husband really liked his breakfast burrito. We ended up spending $58 for breakfast for 2 (even though I chose the smaller option) – which seems high to me.

As a local I have been frequenting Sunshine for a couple decades. It is my go to destination for quality food and excellent service from wonderful people. Like all breakfast destinations in Summit it can get extremely busy, but they always keep things moving and never fail to deliver on the service and food. This is truly the best that Summit has to offer.

OK, so I know this place has decent ratings and has won some awards. That is why I chose it for the first time. I sat at the bar for 45 minutes and watched how everyone did everything…..let me just say this is one of the most UNSANITARY places I have ever been!!! And I have worked in the food industry in many different places as well so I understand “back of house”. I witnessed so many disgusting things go down That I couldn’t even eat my food. And on top of that, I watched my food sit in the window for 11 minutes before it was brought to me and I was literally 6 feet from it. And other people’s food was there even longer! During the 11 minutes that it sat there one of the cooks open mouth coughed basically right on it because it was close to Him and I watched multiple other people’s food get dirty fingers stuck in it, plates stuffed on top of other peoples food, people grabbing and moving food around from plate to plate, waitresses coming up who just used a dirty rag and cleaned something go directly into fresh orange slices and dirty finger them right onto someone’s drink without washing hands….
I mean, I could go on for an hour about all the disgusting things I just witnessed. I understand it was busy and it was Sunday morning, but they are fully staffed and it’s not that big of a place. there is no reason for the lack of sanitation this place has. I’m sure the food is good. It looked OK. but that’s not the point. letting food sit in that window for over 10 minutes And then no gloves, no hand washing, open mouth coughing, not even trying to cough in his elbow or anything and being one of the cooks that is! I can only imagine what else goes on back there. I got my food, I paid for it and I left. There was no way I could eat it at that point. If they’re going to be a place that lacks sanitation in the way they do they should probably not let people sit at the bar where they can watch the cooks and the waitresses make everything… i’ve seen fast food restaurants have better sanitation practices. It’s a good thing I’m not a health inspector because I would shut that place down after everything I just witnessed.
There’s a lot more I could say about the service I got as well, but this is already been long enough.

Stopped with RV. I love nice diners for breakfast and this one is perfect. The coffee is strong, the service is quick and friendly, and the food is good. A variety of choices on the menu. I’m a country fried steak lover and theirs is good, crispy and not greasy. I did not care for the white gravy – which is always on the side for me – because I’m finicky about scratch gravy being homemade, theirs is not. My over easy eggs were perfect, their biscuit was fresh and soft, hash browns cooked right but lacked a bit of seasoning. Nicely laid out inside, clean, not over crowded or noisy. The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy their job which is a huge plus these days. The fan in the women’s restroom needs attention. Ample parking for RVers. I’d definitely go again when traveling in the area.
