Barn Thai means House of Thai. We have been serving delicious Thai food for over 25 consecutive years. Our roots trace back to Bangkok and Korat, the capital of Issan, in the north-east of Thailand. We are passionate about our food, engage Thai classic cuisine and local specialty cooking techniques. Everything is made using fresh ingredients, made to order, and made from scratch.

We visited during a weekday lunch, and although we ordered from the main menu, the portions felt more like those from a lunch menu. We tried the Drunken Noodles and Thai Fried Rice. The Thai Fried Rice was definitely tasty, but the Drunken Noodles could use some improvement. The portion sizes were just right for us, but they felt more like lunch portions rather than full dinner servings. Aside from that, we had a pleasant experience with our meal. We appreciated the option to select our dishes from a screen and pay before receiving our food, which allowed us to browse pictures and make our choices easily.

I came across this place while looking for a spot that serves Tom Yum. We ordered Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and Tom Yum Shrimp — it was an excellent experience! The woman who served our table was very kind and friendly, and the food was outstanding. The portion sizes were also very generous. I’ll definitely visit this restaurant again.

A solid weekday lunch location. Clean and has seating inside and out. Order via a kiosk or by a waitress. But waitress ordering takes a lot longer. They have a good lunch plate menu. Panang curry is my go-to test plate and they passed. They add a small veggie egg roll. I didn’t see an option for brown rice.
Feb 2025 update. I enjoyed it even more this time and bumping to four stars. Panang curry is quite tasty. Same with pad Thai . Service was much faster this time, maybe because I ordered using the kiosk. Saves the one extra wait cycle for the waitress.

Came few times for lunch. Pad Thai is tasty. Portion size a bit shy. Should be more – then it will be 5 stars.

I like that place quite a bit. The food is good and spicy, although I limit myself to medium, in regards to spiciness level (could go hotter but then I’d have to deal with the heartburn). The waitress, who could be the owner, is super nice and always smiling.
It’s best to get there early for lunch because it gets packed quickly, compounding the fact that the place is small. If you get there at 12, you will probably have to wait 10-15min to get your dish. It’s not a problem but something to be aware of.

The worst thai place in the bay area. All the things I ordered were bad taste, smelly because they were cooked may be the last day and portion was really bad. Never gonna come back here.
