What a pleasurable night. Came for dinner. Handicapp parking is the second entrance. Wasnt super clear where to park because of all the snow but we managed. Came into a bar area from the handicap ramp, was very warm inside, the entire place is rustic and pleasing to the eye. We were escorted to our table and we looked at the menu. We both ordered the short rib and a salad. First you need to start with their bread, with garlic butter. Absolutely yummy. Our waiters were on point, even with my allergies. People filling up water glasses which was from bottles and not the sink water, giving silverwear, taking things right away when done. Everything was wonderful, food yummy, great company, great service. This is a redo place.
The only thing we had a tough time was leaving. The hill and the snow to get out, took us five plus times to get over the hill to get out with our van but it was worth it. We had a fantastic night!

The restaurant was cute and casual, not fine dining. The service was great. The espresso martini was very good. The smash burger was tasty but messy. The house wings were tasty with the Japanese spice combo but a little on the spicy side so if you are sensitive to spice, it’s not to die for, you might hate yourself. The sausage orzo soup was also good, not $14 app good though. It’s more on the stew side than soup. The salad has good flavor but a little wilted Sunday night not greatest option. The grilled chicken appears pre-made instead of freshly grilled. The outside seating overlooks a little man made waterfall that is cute but I can’t imagine eating out there as it would be too loud to have conversations. Worth trying once for the experience.

First visit here since it’s total renovation in 2022 for a birthday dinner and we were pleasantly surprised. The service (by Jared) was outstanding and we had a pleasant chat with Jason, the owner. The renovation was well done and offers a number of options in many rooms from casual to cozy to fancy. I had the chicken pot pie which was the best ever and my wife had the scallops small plate which consisted of 5 large sea scallops perfectly cooked. We split a delicious mixed green salad and finished off the meal with a delicious poached pear that was generously presented free of charge due to my birthday. All in all, a fabulous meal and we will definitely be back.

First time coming to this restaurant. My husband and I had a great time. It’s super convenient, right off the highway with ample parking available. The atmosphere is great, even on a dreary, rainy day. You’re welcome by a calming waterfall and a cute bridge leading to the restaurant. We loved the historical aspects of the building and homage that was paid. The food and drinks were delicious. The house made complimentary focaccia was a perfect start to a meal. We got the pork belly appetizer, which I definitely recommend. My husband got the steak frite – steak was cooked perfectly. I got the Caribbean veggie burger, which was a satisfying and savory dish. I love how they had a good vegetarian option. Also side note, the restaurant smelled so good – very woody.

Omg amazingness. This is a destination must go must eat, must drink, must experience for yourself. The views, staff, and overall experience is something you need to see and enjoy ASAP. When you go you will want to run back the next day.

Visited The Brushmill in Chester with friends, first time in several years. WOW! What an improvement over what I remembered at the old Sage at same location. The tired atmosphere (and off-putting odors) of the prior has been replaced with a bright and lively vibe. Terrific food, and the service was wonderful! Soren and Jordan were the best, and Jennifer, behind, bar were all
engaging and friendly.
Try their happy hour and Thursday meal specials – good value and great food!

was surprised for a birthday dinner here. From the well-lit parking lot to the bucolic wooden walkway into the restaurant, this place has great atmosphere. The menu is limited and they had just changed it and hadn’t updated it online, so some options were no longer available. That didn’t matter, as what was on the menu was fresh and tasty. I have the burger with truffle fries and a rye Manhattan. The handmade foccaccia bread with black garlic butter was really delicious, and the burger was a savory delight. We did go on a Sunday evening with no reservation, and they found us a nice spot with a view of the water, and our wait wasn’t that long, but I can imagine a Friday or Saturday night would warrant reservations. This place is great for a unique delicious time.

This place was amazing from start to finish. We were treated with such hospitality by every single staff person but especially by our server, Lamott! Everything we ate was flavorful, fresh and made to order. The stand outs included the scallop appetizer (small plate) and the pistachio crème brûlée (dessert). Really there wasn’t one dish we didn’t like. It was my birthday and the restaurant went out of their way by comping one dessert and even giving me a birthday card. I can’t wait to go back and try all the other menu items that I’m sure are equally delicious. Oh and you can’t beat the beautiful setting/building!
