Reviews
We travel often and have dined at multiple Michelin-star restaurants around the world, so we truly understand world-class dining and service. Stef went above and beyond explaining the menu, guiding us through the small plates, and making thoughtful recommendations. She was professional, personable, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I truly hope more servers take her professional approach — she sets the standard.
Now to the food:
The broccolini was phenomenal — her recommendation — and even though I was hesitant at first, it ended up being one of my favorite dishes of the night. The gnocchi was outstanding and reminded me of a hearty, traditional Nonna-style recipe. The calamari was very good, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The zucchini strings were good on its own, but with the lemon as recommended it was taken to another level. The chicken parmigiana was also delicious — classic and well executed. We ended the night with the tiramisu, which was the perfect end to the evening.
Great atmosphere, great small plates, and an overall excellent dining experience. But above all, Stef’s service made the night unforgettable.
Highly recommend Pelato.
Highly recommend — and ask for Maddie.
On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was spot-on friendly, attentive, and genuine. You can tell the kitchen cares about quality and detail.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great pasta and a relaxed, elevated dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!
They have the most customer service oriented restaurant I’ve ever seen. Ethan who served us at the bar knew the menu inside side and out including all the gluten free items that were available. By the time we were seated since we got there early for our reservation at 830 we knew exactly what we wanted due to Ethan’s descriptions. Ethan served me the best sangria I’ve ever had. It has brandy in it!
They seated us 8 mins early and Jonathan our server was also top notch and made our night the very best. We ended up making friends with the couple next to us who also shared one of there items with us! Nicole from Philly and Tom from Jersey, if you’re reading this, thanks for making our anniversary the best ever! Two managers came by and checked on us. They did not rush us at all considering we had an 830 reservation for 9 pm closing. Carbonara radiatori Stuffed mushrooms. Panelle, potato croquettes prosciutto plate (to die for !!! best I’ve ever had ) were all UHMAZING
We will be back over and over again. I promise this!!
When my mom and I first walked in, we immediately fell in love with the warm, homey atmosphere. The service was amazing, and our food came out quickly and hot (I burned my mouth, that’s how hot it was).
We shared the broccolini, carbonara, and shrimp limone, and each dish was delicious. My mom isn’t a vegetable person, but she loved that broccolini. The carbonara was creamy and had a nice smoky flavor from the pancetta. The limone was perfectly cooked, and the lemon wasn’t overpowering. It complimented the pasta amazingly.
We can’t wait to come back and try more!
Love that the food comes out as cooked, fun sharing event. They said we should order 3 things, glad we didn’t cause we had ample food left over. Great wine list
When you have a server like Sydney that is so knowledgeable of not just the menu, but what items go well together so you can enjoy an array of menu options.
The best part of this Italian dining experience is the smaller portions so you can share multiple different dishes.
And what’s even better is the timing of each plate. We never had them stacking up as we would finish one and a few minutes later the next would arrive.
The fresh mozzarella was our starter and added the caprese to it and was just superb.
For the ones that want to make sure they get their greens, the burnt broccolini has so much flavor and is cooked perfectly.
We got the shrimp scampi and was recommended by our server Sydney to add the bucatini cacio e pepe and was simply perfect as the fresh cracked black pepper was so damn delicious.
We couldn’t decide between the meat balls and chicken parm, but so we made the wise decision and got both.
As stated earlier, the sizes of each plate are perfect as you don’t get too stuffed.
Both the chicken parm & meat balls were just ideal for the protein portion.
The cocktail choices were splendid and not soft pours at all.
For dessert it was recommended we get the bourbon butter pecan Gelato and was a perfect way to end a great dining experience.
Cannot wait to get back to Pelato!!!
