We stopped by Westlake Restaurant while in the Lake Norman area and had a great experience. We had heard good things about their breakfast and lunch options, so we decided to try it out — and it absolutely lived up to the hype!
The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The food was delicious — cooked fresh, flavorful, and served hot. It definitely exceeded our expectations, and we all enjoyed our meals.
The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, just right for a relaxed brunch or lunch. It felt like a classic local favorite where the service and food quality keep people coming back.
We’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in the area!

Westlake Restaurant has been operating for over 20 years in the Denver community. The food is reminiscent of a true home cooked meal served by a staff that is a family unit. Our family has been a patron of this establishment for well over 15 years and our favorite dishes include : Pops Special with French Toast, Moms Special with Pancakes, 2 eggs with Smoked Sausage (the best!), Sausage breakfast burrito with grits or hash browns, and the kids Mickey pancake with bacon.
While we primarily eat breakfast with our Westlake Family, we do enjoy lunch when we can get in! They have an amazing country fried steak and chicken sandwich as well as delicious sides!
If you are looking for a true mom & pop home style dining experience- check out Westlake. The staff is amazing, the food is fantastic and you’re going to feel like you know the best kept secret in the community.

Breakfast at Westlake Restaurant was hands down one of the best we’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly — and the bacon was extra crispy just how we like it!

My wife and I ate there yesterday morning (March 21, 2023). We had just finished working out at Sallie’s YMCA and were looking for a place to get brunch. We stopped at Westlake Family restaurant and our waitress brought menus and coffee, quickly. The breakfast menu is extensive but we were both intrigued by the Greek omelet; spinach, feta, cheese, and gyro meat. And it was the BEST Greek omelet that either of us has had in the Charlotte area.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is very laid back, very quiet….its easy to talk to people at your table.
As we were sitting there finishing breakfast, the lunch specials menu board went up and it was equally appealing.

We have always loved Westlake Restaurants! The food always comes out hot and cooked to order. The service is absolutely amazing, even when they are packed and have many people waiting to be seated. They never rush to get you out. The employees are very friendly and treat everyone like family. That says a lot in this day and age. The atmosphere is always comfortable and relaxing.

The breakfast i had was the most perfectly cooked meal I’ve had in a long time. REAL bacon, large eggs, biscuits and gravy with chunks of sausage. The biscuits were soft, fluffy and perfectly made. Coming back for sure!
