I called to place an order during the Buy One, Get One Free promotion and was told to order online through the website or DoorDash. When I checked, online ordering was turned off. I called back and was informed they had intentionally disabled online orders. During that call, the store manager hung up on me.
When I called again, I was told there was “nothing she could do” because the store was running out of product and would not honor the promotion. She had a very dismissive, “oh well” attitude and made no effort to offer a solution. When I asked for her name for documentation purposes, she refused to provide it.
Running out of product and turning off online orders are internal issues and should not affect customers during an advertised promotion. Being hung up on and treated dismissively by management is unacceptable.
Very unprofessional experience.
If want to try their shakes, it would set me back another $5 for the one size offered – medium. The three of us shared one. The fruit is fresh, the ice cream is a dream, the whipped topping tastes as good as it looks, but even with this delicious finish, I can’t get over the fact that I paid $50 for 3 burgers, a dog, 2 fries and a strawberry shake, made my own drinks at a shady, sticky, germ-covered machine that had obviously been the sole entertainment for many a child before we arrived, and bussed my own table. The Cajun fries were so overly- seasoned that they were completely inedible; the plain ones were a real treat but the large at almost $6 an order, would serve at least 3 ppl. There is no way of knowing this beforehand. No table service, no drive-thru, no frills, cold uncomfortable seating, bags are soaked in oil – our food came packed to go, even though we were dining inside. We were surrounded by 100 lb sacks of potatoes and stacks of large crates of peanuts, a few opened so that customers can help themselves. I actually thought they had just gotten a delivery. As customers came and went, no one wiped down a single table, making me wonder when my own had last been done. If i’m paying upscale prices, I want to enjoy upscale, or at least moderate and clean, service and surroundings. Maybe that’s just me.
