Was very interested in checking out their biscuits and gravy. They have been serving clients since 1974 which is one more the chef’s hut in Boise. The atmosphere was very nice place to eat. The waitress was spot on and very gracious. She was an older lady and watching her juggle the plate I gave her a great review to her. She told me she has been doing this all her life and it shows how much sel loves her clients. This also leads to the service being excellent. The hash browns were spot on very good and the biscuit’s were very good but the gravy seemed to be lacking as I have been looking for great biscuits and gravy. I may need to try them one more time as it is a half hour to get there again.

Got the famous biscuit and gravy! Wayyy too much biscuit not enough gravy:( was extremely disappointed. Also got the loaded hash browns no flavor even with bacon cheese and onions on top. I don’t usually do reviews but overall wasn’t impressed. Also took like five minutes to get our food some might say that’s impressive, I wasn’t 🙁

My wife and I tried Mr. V’s family restaurant for the first time.We were very pleased with the quality and the amount of food we got. The service was friendly and polite and the service was quick, even though it was a very busy time of day on a Friday morning. We will be going back. My wife had the sausage and eggs with the side of biscuits and gravy. I had the Chicken Fried steak with a side of pancakes. Everything was cooked well and to order. I guess if there was one thing I have to say. negative was some of the food was a little cold.

Hard to believe with all the restaurants that open in a highly competitive market that a local restaurant can continue to stay in business, thrive, continue to attract friendly staff, and still offer reasonably priced meals for fifty years! Congratulations to the owners!
You can get breakfast all day long, and the hash browns are still made from fresh cut potatoes, the omelets range from $11.99 to $12.59, biscuits and gravy are only $5.99 for one and $7.99 for two, add a side of meat like the crispy bacon for $3.99 more.
At lunch, a Patty Melt with two types of cheese and tots is $13.99, a 1/3rd patty cheeseburger is $12.99. One of my favorites is the chicken quesadilla, $10.49. Also love the fried chicken Cobb Salad. The kid’s menu entrees are $5.99, and families are welcome.
We’ve usually brought a group, last time was 22 people and everyone raves about the variety for the price, combined with good service, smiling faces, and plenty of coffee refills. Save room for an old fashioned ice cream float or a fruit cobbler. We prefer the bright white front room over the darker back room, and it is “seat yourself” so the choice of décor is yours. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! It was a busy Saturday morning and there was nonwaot for a table.our food was out literally 10 minutes after ordering! Our server Jesus was awesome and so personable! We got the chicken fried steak which was amazing, the colosal omelet which was also great, and the kids each got a kid’s breakfast which was more than enough for them! We gotnviscuits and gravy as our toast..it was literally another serving. We took both to go because there was so much food! Our 7 year old daughter said she rates it 100,000 out of 10 because the food was really good and fast and because they have a mailbox to santa there

This is just an amazing restaurant for my wife and I. Really great meals and accommodating prices. I had steak and shrimp tonight and my wife had the patty melt that she loves so much and salad. Both were excellently done, and the service was really good too. We drive from Meridian and always feel like it’s totally worth the drive!

Our first stop at Mr. V’s was great. We had been in the village for activities at the plaza and were seeking a locally owned dinner spot. Mr. V’s did not disappoint. The staff was very attentive even though quite busy. My first impression was tat there was a lot of staff, until I observed the efficiency in turning tables. Cleared, set, and occupied expeditiously. Everyone working was friendly and busy. Food servings were large, served hot and fresh. We will return soon.

My husband and I had breakfast there today. It was okay but the coffee is terrible, very weak. Too bad they dont have a menu for Seniors because their servings are too large. I dont like waste and some things aren’t worth taking home. Our waitress was great!
