What a find at Slay! We started with bacon wrapped scallops that were cooked perfect and had a delicious honey sauce. For dinner we had the bone in pork chop that was a 10/10 in every way. I enjoyed the orecchiette shrimp pasta that was layered in flavors and delicious shrimp. 10/10 for atmosphere, food, and service. Hilario was absolutely fantastic in taking care of us. This will be a new regular spot for me as the entire menu is a beautiful mix of dishes that allows you to mix it up.

Slay was such a fun experience! Tony was so wonderful and kind as our server and all four of us enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The atmosphere was fun, the food was yummy, the bottomless mimosas were perfect for a fun brunch vibe. Will definitely visit again!

Well guys I’m back at my #1 brunch spot whenever I’m in town. Slay is such an amazing spot to chill and enjoy an excellent variety menu all superbly cooked to perfection. Their chef is really good, one of the best. Same quality same taste every time I’ve been there. I had the chicken breast on brioche and fries that taste like McDonald’s did when I was a kid, my son had Avocado toast with smoked salmon (look at that plate), and his wife had the American breakfast and she crushed her’s as well. The manager Tony is so friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent host, very people oriented, thanks Tony it’s always a pleasure to see you when I’m in town.
Finally I have to say that the vibe at slay is tranquil and an excellent hideaway especially dining on their upstairs covered deck with beautiful ocean views.
Again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SLAY

We visited the area, went on a walk, and came across this little gem.
Upon entering, we were greeted by a very friendly young man who asked whether we wanted to sit downstairs or upstairs. He showed us the upstairs, which we loved.
It was dark, so we did not get to see the view, but it was cozy nonetheless.
Tony was our waiter and was very friendly; he kept coming to check if everything was good, once we got our food, in a very non-intrusive way.
We had the burger, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, spinach, and bread rolls, as well as the Sangria.
Everything was delicious! It really was a joy to sit and eat – and the playlist was excellent as well – very, very enjoyable.
I can only highly recommend this fantastic place.

The Baseline
The Baseline: For a sit down upper-scale restaurant is the quality of the food, existence of any unique offerings, quality of the service, and ambiance of the overall dining experience.
Food: There was not a single dish that we had at Slay Hermosa that wasn’t great. Appetizers were the Fried Calamari and Watermelon Salad and wow to the salad. The Watermelon salad had an incredible white vinaigrette and tajin spice. Get this salad! The Double Smash burger was a solid burger. The entree star was the Pork Chop that was cooked perfectly and the bed of sweet corn risotto made it wonderful. For the finish was the Butter Cake that was warm and dense like I love it. Mixed with the ice cream with berry drizzle and my Cafe au Lait it was a perfect ender to the meal.
Service: Fantastic top notch service that covered us for our visit. We were always asked at the right time if we needed anything. Also we got the best suggestions from our waiter.
Ambiance: Hermosa Beach on a rooftop dining area right at sunset… perfect time to dine and all will be fine. Great setting for a great meal. Didn’t use the restroom but it was getting cleaned when I left. The dining area was clean and the restaurant while compartmentalized is very serviceable.

We had lunch at Slay Hermosa & everything and I mean everything, from savory thick cut bacon to THE pancake of all pancakes was delicious and perfectly executed. Our table shared several items, all incredible. We loved our experience. Slay & Co is the BEST ♥️

They were so accommodating when I arrived and poured me a much needed glass of champagne. Food was amazing! Bottomless mimosas were fantastic and you even get to choose different juices to add. Slay is the perfect name for this restaurant, as it slays on all accounts! I went for the first time for Sunday brunch with a group of 11 other women and the service Tony and the other servers provided was attentive and friendly, the bottomless mimosas were a hit, the view from the rooftop patio was beautiful, and everyone loved their food! I had the Lobster Benedict, which was delicious, and I’ll surely be back to check out more of the menu when I’m back in town.
