I’ve eaten at Bucheron a handful of times and I absolutely love this restaurant! They are elevating the entire Twin Cities restaurant scene by creating perfect service. They time courses perfectly. They clear finished courses and all silverware. Bring clean silverware for every course. Keep water glasses full. Other Twin City restaurants have tried to keep up with this level of detail, but I’ve had meals at other restaurants that some detail gets forgotten.

Servers are fully knowledgeable about every food and wine item. Most likely their staff is doing homework. Researching and reading about preparation techniques and wine characteristics.

The food always has perfect execution using creative minds. There are many dishes that have ingredient combinations that have not been done before and they taste AMAZING!

While doing all that greatness, they still create an atmosphere that is homey and modest. They hang your jacket for you. I haven’t seen that level of service in the Twin Cities for many years. I hope that every person gets the chance to dine here so that they’re able to experience the best in the Twin Cities.

Everything about our experience at Bucheron was fantastic. The tortelloni was rich, comforting, and beautifully prepared, with flavors that felt thoughtful and well balanced. For dessert, we shared the cinnamon roll, which was warm, indulgent, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. You can really tell care goes into every dish. The atmosphere was inviting, the service was attentive without being overbearing, and the overall experience felt very special. We’ll absolutely be back to explore more of the menu. Literally every aspect of the experience at bucheron is well thought out

Are we eating in an alleyway in France or South Minneapolis? Hard to tell.

Such a fun evening! Did we love everything? No, but it was all well-executed and it was fun to try new flavors.

Our favorites were the Agnolotti and the Cookies and Cream Dessert. Actually, it was one of the best desserts we’ve ever had in fine dining. They didn’t dial it in for the end of the meal. Major props on that part!

Service was warm and perfectly timed.

Tucked away in Minneapolis, this French-inspired gem offers a cozy yet classy ambiance that instantly makes you feel at ease. The service is impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, and perfectly complements the outstanding food. Highlights include the airy pomme dauphines, rich foie gras, delicate butternut squash agnolotti, and earthy matsutake mushrooms with crisp green beans. The standouts—lobster spaghetti and rainbow trout with golden rice—are executed flawlessly, showcasing both technique and flavor. Every dish feels thoughtful and refined, making this spot a must-visit in MSP for anyone seeking an elevated dining experience. Highly recommended!

Hands down, Bucheron is absolutely one of the best dining experiences in the twin cities.
Very much reminiscent of a cozy yet cool Parisian bistro.
They have a menu with a handful of signature mainstays (like the delightful Pommes Dauphines) but also fun seasonal features. The dishes that we’ve had have been delicious, and also show off technique, finesse, and restraint. Shout-out to the desserts and the cocktail and drink program as well!
We’ve been fortunate enough to visit a number of times, and all I can say is that the chefs and the service team just keep getting better! Cannot wait to dine at Bucheron again!

We enjoyed several dishes on the menu, halibut, shrimp, oysters, foie gras, lamb, lobster pasta along with deserts. The bar made a perfect Vesper that went famously with Krystal Caviar. Most dishes were gluten free as well. Reservations are required to fully enjoy the experience. Go and enjoy this fine establishment. Service is excellent. Ample parking in the area.

Bûcheron won Best New Restaurant award by the James Beard organization and it does disappoint. They use fresh ingredients expertly prepared and artfully plated without ostentation. The cocktails list is impressive and the wine selection is carefully appointed. My wife had the lamb entree and I had the Alaskan halibut; both delicious. Both of our servers were courteous and made sure we would ha a memorable experience. We will be coming back

What an incredible experience from start to finish. They were so accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was immaculate and delicious. The wine pairing for the Rabbit Paperdelle was literally one of the best pairings I’ve experienced in my life — it became part of the sauce inside your mouth. Incredible. Bucheron is deserving of all the praise and awards they are getting. Amazing work. Thank you.

We went to Bucheron for a birthday dinner last night. Bucheron is usually bookied 6 weeks to two months out, so we were lucky to get a table. There is a lot to like about Bucheron. Their level of service reminds me of how fine dining used to be 30 or 40 years ago, but without the stuffiness. The wait staff take a team approach, with each table assigned a lead. Special shout out to Evelyn.

I liked the atmosphere, cozy, well laid out, not too noisy. My partner and I were able to have a conversation without raising our voices. At the same time there is a nice buzz to the place. Played a nice selection of Americana music in the background.

And now to the food. Several items really stood out. The Pommes Dauphine were nicely brown and crispy on the outside, with lovely soft cheesy potato filling. Went well with dipping sauce. The lobster spaghetti was another standout. Obviously handmade pasta, coupled with nice chunks of lobster in a lovely creamy sauce (not overly heavy).

For mains I had the duck breast and my partner had Wagyu steak. Both items were perfectly cooked, with a nice sear on the outside and tender and moist inside. The meat was flavorful and properly seasoned without being overly salted (Bucheron is one of the few restaurants who understand that you don’t need to salt the heck out of a dish to generate good flavour).

Had sticky toffee cake and red-velvet cake for dessert. Both items were sensibly sized for the final course after a multi-course meal. The cooking staff make their desserts from scratch, and it shows. Both items were delicious and well presented.

It was a very enjoyable experience, which I hope to repeat once we can get a reservation. Looking forward to seeing what they do with fresh Spring and Summer produce.
