Order food online using a gift card and Drove 30 min to this restaurant. Got inside, waited roughly 12 minutes with no acknowledgement while several staff walked right by my son and I. Another family came in and here comes the waitress addressed them first. Once the family told the waitress we were there first she finally greeted us. Then I told the waitress I ordered online she told me I had to go to the back for online pick ups. Walked to the back and the smell was horrendous. Pretty sure it was the bathroom. Just a horrendous funky smell. Stood there for another 5 minutes in that funk until someone finally acknowledged us. One of the waiters said it would be a few more minutes as there was preparing the bread. Few more minutes turned into 15 minutes waiting. While waiting a manager assisted me with canceling my debit card to add my gift card. Not sure if it’s your policy to ask the customers if they want their change. Which was bizarre to me. Nevertheless, told her keep it. Got home, each chicken sandwich was dry almost like they microwaved the chicken twice, the buns were burnt, bacon was overly crunchy and hard, everything in the sandwich was saggy not to mention only one dish came with sauce, the fries was semi cold. Would I be back definitely not and would not recommend.

My wife and I visited Applebee’s on Oct 19, ’25. The food was ok and we’ve had a few meals here that were good. Our most recent visit wasn’t so great. I have a slight intolerance to some foods and I asked the server if the blondie dessert only had the nuts on top of it and if you could just put them on the side for my wife to enjoy as I can’t eat them. I asked if there were any in the actual blondie and he said no, so we ordered that. After my 2nd bite, I realized it also had pecans inside as well. I’m not going to die, but he didn’t take my concerns seriously and he began to argue with me that he didn’t know it was a big deal. On top of him not knowing what was in the dessert, they forgot the pecans when it originally came out and also forgot 1 of the 2 sauces for the beer pretzels app. The manager never came to the table and they still charged me for the dessert and at least they brought me a different dessert that I could eat. The server then asked me if the new dessert was better for me. I don’t think people understand enough about food allergies and intolerances, but I would expect a server at a restaurant to not make guesses and to verify something like that when it’s brought to their attention. I also would’ve expected the manager on duty to at least touch the table to see how things were going. Pretty sad experience!

Service was definitely slow as most other reviews warned, but it should be noted that it was a Saturday night and quite busy with several large parties being sat. Our waiter Fred was the best part of the evening. He was kind and attentive to the best of his abilities, even though it was clear that he was managing quite a lot all at once. We heard him be extra apologetic to each of his tables and ours as well. Regardless of the wait time, he went to extra mile for his tables to make them feel a bit better for all the waiting. If your server is Fred, tip him well- it’s definitely deserved

We have lived in florida for 8 years now and our waiter Luke has been the best we have encountered. Friendly knowledgeable attentive checking in on our meal at least 5 times. If you go to Applebee’s of winter haven florida make sure to ask to be seated in his section you will not be disappointed.

I would give less than one star if I could. We had a group tonight- and when I said literally NOTHING was done correctly and the lack of apology was appalling. We were there for 3 hours and some of my party did not get their APPETIZER until the last 20 minutes. We had servers in our party who had never experienced such an abysmal service. We go out to eat regularly- and this was honestly the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. It was honestly shocking. We were not the only table in the restaurant that had issues.

When I ordered there’s no more broccoli. They offered to give salad. The sirloin was hard as a rock without no flavor. I made the comment to the server. It looks like was taking out of the freezer at that moment. The service so slow. The brought the plate without the fries… nothing on time. Maybe wasn’t my say… but Waoooooo….such a bad first experience. Just moved to the area and I was trying a new place to have options in the future. At the end they offer a dessert ( not the want that I want actually) plus at the end….they charged me for the salad that they offer as a replace. The only thing that I got on time…was the check to pay. I don’t used to post reviews but this was too much to ignore. Thanks.

Waitresses are kind and pleasant. Jackie was very kind, all ways apologizing for the slow bartenders and cooks. Food was cold & over cooked. Not waitresses fault. The management needs to get a grip on the place or it will close! We where there 2 years ago. Same slow, over cooked, cold food. Thought we’d try it 3/8/26 @ 7pm….. still the same. Will not go back.. Winter Haven Applebee’s “needs” to be under new management..

Applebee’s isn’t usually my first choice for dining out, but it was a convenient spot when the whole family got together. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which made the experience more enjoyable, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough for a casual family meal.
The food was just okay, nothing that really stood out, but it got the job done. It’s a decent option when you need a reliable chain restaurant that everyone can agree on, even if it’s not the most memorable meal you’ll have
