I had such a wonderful experience at Breakfast Time! Even though it was a little busy, we were seated right away, which was a huge plus. The atmosphere is so cozy—I absolutely love the decor; it gives off the perfect “country kitchen chic” vibe that makes you feel right at home.
The food was fantastic! I ordered the grits, sausage, and eggs, and it truly tasted like a warm, home-cooked meal. But what really made the experience special was the service. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful—so sweet and kind. It really warmed my heart to see that our waitress wrote a Bible verse on the receipt. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made my day. Highly recommend if you want great food and good vibes! ✨

Our Server (April) was very professional and attentive, she made sure our coffee and water was never halfway. The food was delicious and plenty for the value of the price. Everything was great, from the hostess, the decor, the server and food were better than we expected. The “ONLY” suggestion I would make is to start having customers pay at the table and not the front of the entrance where it is busy, people coming and going, a bit of chaos. One customer “acted” like she paid for her food but walked out the door. That’s the only issue I saw unfortunately with dishonest people. Highly recommend!

Breakfastime is diner food done right! Fast service and good food are the norm. You can’t go wrong with Big K’s Combo, which offers a short stack of pancakes, three eggs, meat, and two sides for only $12! The portion sizes are generous enough to get two meals out of it. You can upgrade to a specialty pancake for a small fee.

Edit: Okay… I absolutely ordered wrong the first time. The real menu magic didn’t hit me until I came back and let John steer me in the right direction. Since then, I’ve tried a bunch of dishes, and now this place is genuinely one of my favorite breakfast spots in the greater Charlotte area. I used to come by after weekly Pilates classes in Concord, but even though I’m not out that way as much anymore, I’m literally counting down the days until my next visit.
I had to come back and update this review so people know what’s actually up. The pecan pancakes, Breakfastime burger, fried chicken, corned beef hash, turkey bacon, biscuits, and home fries are all incredible. And there’s still more menu left to explore, so I definitely need to go back for another round.
Original Post: I stopped by Breakfastime at Copperfield Blvd. after a workout class because I was really hungry and ordered the steak and eggs. The home fries were delicious – crispy and seasoned perfectly – and the biscuit was buttery, flaky, and so good. Definitely the highlights of the meal.
The eggs were fine, just pretty plain. I probably should’ve asked for some salsa (I’m from Texas, so that’s a thing) or maybe ordered a different style. I asked for soft scrambled, but they looked more like regular scrambled, so maybe that’s on me. The steak had great flavor but was a little tough and gristly in some spots. I ordered it medium rare, but it came out closer to medium. Still tasty overall, just not super tender.
My server, John, was really friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe was that classic casual diner feel – a little loud because of the acoustics, but everyone was chill and it had good energy. I’d definitely come back, especially for those biscuits.

Very yummy breakfast foods. Great service. Was spot on for estimate for seating. The Works Omelette was great. They did Pumpkin Waffles for the Chicken and Waffles. Scrumptious!

The breading on the chicken and zucchini could be seasoned better, but pepper is at the table and it makes it good enough. Same with the country sausage gravy. Great food and great service. By the time I thought to take a picture, I’d already finished my food. I had a meat lovers omelet with grits and a biscuit. Omelet was excellent. Biscuit was warm and light. The grits were just ok. No “mmm” to it! If I lived in tje area I could see it becoming my goto breakfast place but, I was only in town for a few days. Oh well.

This is my favorite hole-in-the-wall spot. Hands down the best breakfast around for at least 100 miles. What’s good? Honestly—anything and everything. Since the day this place opened, I’ve been here 100 times or more. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is consistently top-notch. If you want it all when it comes to breakfast, Breakfast Time is where it’s at.
