Let me start on the positive. The food was very yummy for Peruvian food outside of Peru. I don’t like it when restaurants have multiple prices for the same item. This place has a menu price, a brochure price, and then the price when you get to the counter. Florida Statute 817.41 prohibits this. I get it, prices change and things cost more, charge me more, don’t just charge me more when I get to the register after I’ve seen prices for the food I’m eating in two other places. It’s the establishment’s responsibility to ensure I know what I will pay. One of the items cost me than $2 over the posted price. It’s 2025, label makers are cheap. In two places it says there’s a 4% discount for cash. The cashier acted like this was a new concept. We speak fluent Spanish there was no language barrier. We might go back but I’ll be very clear with what item cost before we lock in our order.

We had the chicken and fish lunch specials both were outstanding! The beans had a wonderful flavor and plantains were delicious! Everything was fresh. The service provided was excellent. A warm Peruvian welcome!!!

Second time at this little well decorated restaurant. The decor was very nice with live Peruvian music being played on a monitor in the restaurant. I ordered the wings with a teriyaki dipping sauce. My wings were cooked fresh and extra crispy that sealed in the flavor perfectly! Probably the best wings in town! They were a little more expensive than most places, but it was worth the extra cost! Eat local! Florida Man Approved!

The chicken and rice & beans were good. But sadly this location is nothing like the original one in Orlando, service was terrible, the tables were small, they charge for the sauces (they don’t at other locations), no ambiance like Orlando, they were out of several items we wanted to order. We were so excited to try it as we used to live near the original location and it’s one of our favorites but we won’t be back to the St Aug one. The sauces weren’t the same (not as good) and the parsley was old. Two stars is generous, if you make it to Orlando, it’s a 5 star location!

Came here on a recommendation for my anniversary with my husband. I am sure glad we were able to experience this food! The service was fast, the food was served hot, which is really important to my husband and myself, and it tasted like home! This little hole in the wall spot could easily be missed, but I highly recommend, you try it out. I had the Jake’s Fish with Yucca fries, and it’s like the Peruvian version of fish and chips with 3X more flavor! My husband had the chicken with sweet plantains, the chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection, and the sweet plantains were not overdone. We also had the mixed ceviche… And that was amazing! The rice was soft And the beans were flavorful. This is definitely our new spot! What a vibe! Home cooking done right. Worth the amount we paid, because we got such a hefty amount in our servings.

Hi Niko, I’m so sorry for your bad experience.. my employee went out of her way to give the bag to you, while you were waiting in your car. She had forgotten the other bag , when you called I offered to deliver it ,but you refused. About the bags, that is something we typically use so the rice and fries don’t get wet and soggy, we are all Peruvians too and we work hard. Thank you for taking your time and giving us such a bad review.. wow estoy impresionada !!! God bless you .

Stopped in with the family because they wanted Peruvian roasted chicken. Not exactly a wide range of options in the area. We ordered the whole chicken combo with avocado salad and fries.

We were doing to order chichi morado. The printed menu in front of us showed a price of $2.99 but showed up as $4.68 on the POS screen. I questioned why the difference and the woman pointed to the large menu screen above and said the price had increased. I said the beverages on the menu screen were actually the only items that didn’t show a price. She said it was a mistake.

Not sure why this is a common theme among Peruvian restaurants in Florida. I see the price on the Google Menu shows $4.16 but still not what they’re charging.
We opted for bottled water and was charged and were told $1.30 per bottle but were charged $4.68. Coincidence it was the same price as the chichi morado? Again no printed price for the water so who knows.

The avocado salad was actually pretty fresh. The French fries which are sold as a side for $8 were pretty skimpy. I mean fries are cheap and most places will give a pile of them The chicken was OK (definitely had better) but the chicken was a bit on the anorexic side.

The haucatay sauce was pretty good but the chinichuri was lacking for sure.

Was disappointed based on the reviews versus the reality.

If you’re in the mood for good rotisserie chicken then this is the spot!!… The owner of the restaurant was there today and I must say he is a great guy.. It was are first time and here he guided theus through the menu perfectly.. I had the quarter dark chicken with rice and beans and I must say it was probably the best beans I’ve had in a long time first time I had Peruvian food and it did not disappoint.. rice was cooked perfectly not sticky also got a side order of fried plantains little pricey at 8$ but I understand why it was a 9-12 pieces good size order… the rotisserie chicken was cooked absolutely perfect fall off the bone.. very very well seasoned some of the best rotisserie chicken I’ve ever had!..so if you ever in St Augustine and looking for some good chicken stop by this place and pick some up
