Shady’s Hometown Tavern and Event Center restaurant located just off I-94 in Albany, MN has a wide variety of food and drinks to help you unwind. We offer daily lunch and happy hour specials along with weekly bingo and meet raffles seasonally. Our location in Albany also serves as an event venue. We are equipped with 3 banquet rooms and can serve up to 600 people. The large wedding and banquet room is handicapped accessible and has a large 45×50 foot dance floor that can be used for additional seating or dancing the night away. We also are equipped to cater your next event! From graduation to corporate events, we have you covered. Open from 11 am to 2 am Tuesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays. Stop in today!

We came there around 2:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. We sat down and looked at the menus, and nobody came to talk to us as if we were invisible. There was only one other table with people. We came there based on good service we received at Shady’s in Rice, MN. After 15 minutes we decided to get up and leave.

Some of the best food I’ve had. The fries are super good and very interesting. I’ve never had flat steak fries? Not sure that’s what they actually are but the only way I can explain them. Absolutely incredible place to eat and would highly advise to make this a place to stop by.

We had a great experience, with great food and awesome service. The staff in the Event Center side helped us with the TV watching the Frozen Faceoff. The waitress serving our 11 people did an outstanding job. Best service we have had in years.

Ordered take out on 5/30. Arrived and even though the bartender was super busy she acknowledged me right away and said she would be right with me. I was very impressed by this as she was busy with what appeared to be a birthday party or some sort of celebration going on. Food was good, menu had a lot of great choices so can’t wait to see what I can try next!

I was surprised how good the food was here. I really expected “bar food” but this was better than many places I have visited. I had the taco salad, which would seem pretty basic, however they even managed to step this up with flavor, fresh salsa, and a large portion! I couldn’t even finish the fresh taco bowl. Everyone was happy. The only downside was the stools and tables. Those did fit the small town bar feel. Really nice staff!
