This was a great restaurant! We had the two breakfast meals that I took pictures of. We only got water to drink and the total before tax and tip was $25. The food came out fast and was delicious. The grits are homemade and had enough butter and salt that nothing was needed in addition. The biscuit and gravy was very good, the gravy was definitely more peppery than I prefer, but not spicy and I finished all of it. The smoked sausage wasn’t too salty and the corn beef hash was great. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Overall, a great experience and we’ll keep this as a spot when traveling on i75.

I enjoyed the food and service. I found only positive points of review and could not see anything that would be negative. They are well staffed of which works very hard and smart to meet the needs of the customers. The atmosphere reminds me of a friendly southern restaurant. The restaurant is clean and well stocked. The food is fresh and hot. They even have a small area at the front with nice things to buy. All around very nice. I will return as I was told they have great pie.

Great old style place, family owned and operated. This is the place that inspired Cracker Barrel. The Home cooked food that can’t be beat, the staff is always polite and friendly.

What an awesome restaurant, all the way around. First off, our server Skipper – she was meant to serve people and she does a fabulous job. Skipper anticipated “everything ” we might need. One example – let me put your cabbage in a separate bowl so your meat won’t be soggy….just one example.
Food – everything we ordered was delicious, good home cooked meal, country vegetables (local markets) and so many choices. We need to go back to try other items. So worth the trip to eat here- the locals already know!
I had blackened grouper, cream corn, cabbage, white lima beans, corn muffins (served hot)
Hubby had baked chicken, creamed corn, dumplings and corn muffins.
Everything was delicious- couldn’t eat it all. AND – coconut cream pie for dessert!
Check them out

I’ve been here for dinner and breakfast both and I have 0 complaints. I’m from Maryville, TN and we always stay here in this area before heading to Gainesville and this restaurant has never disappointed. If you want a FANTASTIC southern cooking for any meal, this is your stop. Thank you and God Bless.

The squash tasted like vinegar mop water. We noted several other patrons complained also. Waitress replaced with string beans that were fresh. Rice & gravy was stone cold. Fried chicken was dried out. Greens had been sitting for a while. Normally, the food is really good & fresh. Staff seemed complacent this evening.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10 for service!)
The service here was absolutely wonderful—friendly and attentive from start to finish. The standout dish for us was the homemade peach cobbler, which was truly amazing!
As for the entrees: my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork and dumplings. The pulled pork was heavily sauced and tasted similar to store-bought versions, while the dumplings were more like thin flour layers than traditional dumplings. I had the meatloaf, which was just okay. The mashed potatoes, unfortunately, lacked flavor and didn’t taste homemade.
Overall: phenomenal service and a peach cobbler worth coming back for, but some of the main dishes could use improvement.

The staff was friendly & amazing, the food was delicious as well! Got the corn dogs for my kids, they loved it, I got country fried steak with chicken & dumplings & candied yams. My guy got chicken & dumplings with green beans & cabbage. We were all happy with our meals! Definitely better than Cracker Barrel.
