Not the fanciest restaurant I’ve had, but the food makes up for it. The food was nice and filling, and very comforting too

A great burger place! Our server was really friendly and orders came out fairly fast. The burgers were cooked medium by default and tasted amazing. Happy hour let’s you add in fries if you also get a drink.

We enjoyed this nice sports bar and grill. Sports fans!! Customer service was very courteous and attentive. We enjoyed our burgers and fries! Great location in Downtown – Portland & Great dessert too. I gave this 4 stars for reasons not listed but overall was a very positive experience!

Unassuming when you walk in. I didn’t expect much at first but it quickly became one of my favorite spots. The regulars are super welcoming and made me feel so welcomed to the neighborhood. The bartenders are amazing and personable and the food and cocktails are great. Viva la Heroes!

Hero’s American Cafe is an affordable and delicious spot to grab a bite. The food was fantastic, and the waiter was very polite. I had the Caveman Burger with an added egg, and it was excellent. The only downside for me is that the place is a little small, but overall, it was a great experience!

Food: This place looks like a place you might not want to order food and that would be a major mistake. The food is AMAZING, cooked fresh and still quick. I ordered the potentially most dangerous item, the tuna melt, and it might be the best I’ve ever had.
Service: The staff are proactively nice and helpful. They don’t wait around for you to come to them and they don’t go overboard either.
Atmosphere: This place is a bar. It looks like a bar. There aren’t frills. BUT, they are many TVs for sports that they will happily put on for you.

Decided delivery order deserves busted up can -1.
For a sandwich that cost the equivalent of an hour at minimum wage, I expect the bare minimum as advertised.
2/5, only because the sandwich still tasted decent, and 2 for 1 brownie. I will not be repeating business here & telling my sandwich group to avoid this downtown location.

We were lost in Portland and stumbled on this amazing bar to get out of the pouring rain. So welcoming! Great drinks affordable. And the bartender Reese was so helpful and sweet! I totally will be back next time we are in Oregon!

I was a big fan of this place until yesterday. When I was ordering I asked if I could have a chicken patty instead of a beef one for the California burger. I was told “no problem” by Dani the manager, but when I paid the bill I noticed I was charged $4 more just to switch the patty, even though the chicken burger is one of the cheapest items on the menu. Worse, she didn’t tell me that there would be an additional charge when I ordered it. Charging me $4 just to switch the patties seemed really petty. Not informing me of the additional charge was not proper. I will not be going back to this restaurant for a long time. Losing a regular customer in exchange for $4 seems to be a very bad business decision.
