The Morro Miso Ramen was delicious with very generous portions. The chicken and pork belly were full of flavor, and the beef bulgogi bowl was just as good. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Regret not getting a second bowl during my stay. Amazing ramen, so much flavor and color. Same goes for the shrimp skewers. Ben if I remember correctly was super nice and very welcoming. The place is such a gem in my opinion and anyone visiting or simply craving something filling and warm should give this place a try. You do have to bus you own dishes but its a literal 5 steps away from any table you sit at. Will be back in the future! Thanks again.

I can’t wait To come back again. My ahi tuna poke bowl was Deeelicious. All the flavors came through from every ingredient, I had to slow myself down to take my time and enjoy my dish.this was my dish , I didn’t have to share Luckily they opened a second location in Pismo, so I know I’ll be a regular for sure. Small indoor eating area indeed with Lovely decor and wall coverings. They also have seating outside. Maybe it’s been a while since I’ve really had a good poke bowl. It’s about time.

During our visit to Chowa Bowl, we were absolutely delighted by the experience. We tried the Rock Shoyu Ramen, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Delicious and flavorful with fresh, quality ingredients that made each bite a pleasure.
The service was authentically warm, adding to the overall fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting and intimate, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. Additionally, the restaurant was impeccably clean, which added on to the awesome experience of our visit.

I 10/10 recommend Chowa Bowl and am looking forward to our next visit!

This poke bowl was amazing! The rice with spicy mayo made it amazing, but not too spicy! I put some Sriracha on and it was perfect! The beef skewers are amazing and the beer prices are the best in Pismo. Plus all the employees there are very nice, and the restaurant was very clean. I can’t wait to come back here and try more!

I’ve eaten here several times here and each time the food blows my mind. It’s hard to go wrong with dishes like poke, beef bulgogi, and ramen, but each one has some unique twist to it that dials the flavors to the max while staying true to the spirit of the dish. Each of them uses some sort of lightly pickled vegetable to balance and enhance the umami in the dish. Even the rice is delicious- it doesn’t just passively soak up flavors in the background, it’s lightly flavored itself and has the perfect chewy texture.
For a truly unique experience I recommend the Bay Burrata salad. I’ve never tasted anything that combined creamy, earthy, and fresh flavors together in exactly that way but it works incredibly well. The truffle Burrata with beets, fennel, and pickled sweet corn makes the perfect fresh dish for a sunny day.

A no frills, hole in the wall spot for excellent Hawaii-inspired food, Chowa bowl is exactly what we needed after a morning of strolling on the Embarcadero. With Christmas music playing (and no crowds on account of the weather) it was a whole vibe. Healthy, plant forward bowls with super fresh ingredients (and great ramen as well) – highly recommended!

I came all the way from New Jersey to try the best poke bowl I’ve ever encountered. The freshness of the ingredients, the fabulous flavor pairings coupled with a generous but not overwhelming portion was perfect. I can’t say enough about how much I loved my meal!
